The Director of IT Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) will be responsible for ensuring the success of any and all programs and projects within their purview for the M&A Team for IT Support Services, focused on supporting all things related to integration efforts. This role plays a critical part to ensure all teams are ready to support new acquisitions as they are integrating and/or migrated to new technologies.
"Working collaboratively with all levels of operational and business leadership, they are also primarily responsible for the management of key partner and customer relationships to the degree they are viewed as a business partner. This role is responsible for the delivery of identified business benefits associated with their program(s), which include planning and execution of all program phases from discovery and assessment to execution, go-live & go-live support, until transition to operations / production support and close. This role is the primary point of contact between the One Optum CA leadership team and OCT CA and for ensuring One Optum CA & OCT CA leadership is kept engaged and informed on the progress of each program. To ensure the success of their program(s), this individual works collaboratively with multiple members of the project team(s)- including Business Development, Legal, Privacy, OCT CA PMO for project intake, integration and IT infrastructure.

The Director is accountable for working with and facilitating processes to accomplish complex program objectives, managing change and resolving issues that span across project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve customer satisfaction. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals on complex issues where analyses of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables.

  • Advising, consulting, and managing a number of complex projects under a common objective at One Optum CA under one or across several programs designed to support One Optum CA to achieve strategic goals and initiatives as it pertains to the successful integrations of new Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Understand the businesss clinical and operational needs. Maintain a strong knowledge of these needs through visits and communications with OneOptum CA businesses
  • ""
  • Assists in managing customer expectations to ensure strong customer satisfaction. Direct customer needs assessments and manage the delivery of services

  • Drives mindset shifts that will transform behavior and lead to improved results by employing a growth mindset and building a culture of innovation

  • Communicates and clarifies pending changes for buy-in and planning

  • While operating much more independently, this position works collaboratively with business/facility operational leadership, intake and governance teams, as well as OCT CA groups required to deploy IT services and technology. Typical programs assigned to a Program Director will span across several of these operational pillars and functional areas and will require collaboration and coordination with other programs

  • Direct & guide others to develop projects within a program in alignment with the organizations strategic plans and objectives with oversight from the Office of the CIO

  • Influence decisions in partnership with program leadership in order to ensure work toward common objectives while supporting and guiding others in their efforts to do the same

  • Bachelors Degree or High School Diploma / GED and four additional years of experience as stated below
  • ""
  • 10 years Information Services / Information Technology
  • ""
  • Strong understanding of EMR technologies or healthcare technologies and systems.
  • ""
  • 8 years of experience in the project / program / portfolio management field.
  • ""
  • 7 years of experience with resource management
  • ""
  • Knowledge of Fee for Service healthcare environment
  • ""
  • Knowledge of Value Based Care healthcare environment
  • ""
  • Demonstrated ability for systems thinking and complex problem solving
  • ""
  • Executive presence, political awareness and organizational navigation
  • ""
  • Translate vision into achievable business value and socialize value metrics

  • Demonstrated track record of leading technical teams, customer management and project management
