Product Commercialization is vital to the success of the OptumRx Product & Strategy team and drives growth for OptumRx overall. As part of the OptumRx Product & Strategy team, the Director, Go-To-Market Pricing will lead go-to-market efforts for new OptumRx products, working to advance the position of OptumRx in the market, specifically with the benefit consultant community and brokers. In this role, you will work on commercializing OptumRx's most innovative and transformational products. In partnership with the product development team, you will craft strategies for new business models and pricing constructs that align incentives, drive adoption, and create new revenue streams. You will need to develop and then execute on the product launch strategy to create market demand and gain buy-in consultants and strategic partners. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end market launch planning and execution, value proposition refinement, pricing construct & financial model development, and leading deep-dive reviews of the product, including related pricing terms, with consultants and market partners.

 

The work requires a financial background with experience in PBM financial models and evaluations, strong verbal and written communication skills including developing strategic product positioning, presenting to external and internal stakeholders, and building external-facing materials. To be successful in this role you must be able to efficiently learn and apply new concepts, synthesize multiple internal and external perspectives to inform our product commercialization strategy, and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute market adoption and transformation plans for highly innovative new products and services
  • Create demand for new products and drive market acceptance of new products and business models
  • Drive pricing model design for strategic product launches and new business models
  • Facilitate in-depth prospective client and consultant discussions to communicate the value of new products
  • Navigate and build relationships across multiple cross-functional teams to successfully launch new products to market, partnering with Sales & Client Management, Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, and other functional stakeholders as needed
  • Manage cross-segment projects and initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, influencing and analyzing
