Auto req ID: 273932BR Job Description Locations Open to: Plano, TX and Purchase, NY PepsiCo Digital Product Management Overview: PepsiCo Digital Product team, as part of Strategy & Transformation, provides digital products and solutions that focus on having the right data and insights, accessible for the right people, driving their business goals at the right time, across the globe. These products enable a unique competitive advantage to delight both our customers and consumers and create a catalyst for a PepsiCo digital culture. We will achieve this by delivering PepsiCos digital vision and strategic roadmap using best-in-class platforms, and consistently executing against key milestones in direct collaboration with global business partners, service design, engineering, and data science teams. Position Overview: One of PepsiCos priority focus areas in the digital strategy is Sales Effectives. Sales Effectiveness (SE) exists to improve front line performance of daily tasks, increasing sales through prescriptive recommendations for prospecting, selling, servicing, and merchandising. Within SE, there are several digital products being developed. This role will be the Director over all of the Sales Effectiveness products which are: OnePEP, B2B, and Customer Planning. The Director will lead a team of product managers, each of whom is accountable for one of the products, to orchestrate all aspects of product management. The aspects of product management for which the Director is accountable include providing the business strategy translation into clear product capabilities, leading and streamlining the associated product roadmaps while also ensuring unified understanding and delivery across teams (architecture, data foundation, service design, operations). Additionally, the Director is accountable for developing the long-term product vision to ensure successful global expansion of the products, balancing capabilities with the market needs and working in constant partnership with business owners of each area. Ultimately, the Director will drive product creation to unlock business value via a unified solution. Key Accountabilities: Partner with business lead of Sales Effectiveness to understand and influence the translation of business requirements into product capabilities Build and activate the product roadmap for Sales Effectiveness, leading each product manager (OnePEP, B2B, Customer Planning) to balance short term opportunities with long term strategic unlocks. This accountability is key for Director. Partner with business stakeholders to develop a business case activated by roadmap Define clear business objectives with business lead into actional key results for the product. Delivery of these key results must directly advance the benefits of the business case described above. Disseminate roadmap of capabilities into clear, well-understood products Align key business stakeholders global and sector on overall solution and capabilities, ensuring each of the product leads can echo the importance and impact from the products which they lead Partner with leaders in the CDO, which is also part of Strategy & Transformation, to ensure that timelines are clearly understood. This is critical so that data preparation work is complete ahead of product build. Partner with Software Engineering and User Experience/Service Design to ensure any relevant capabilities to be developed by their teams are well understood and that their expertise is considered in roadmap development. This is critical to ensure their associated build teams are staffed and prepped accordingly Partner with CTO to ensure products are well understood and product roadmap timelines are translated into clear needs from the associated data and digital platforms, which are owned and managed by the CTO organization. Lead well integrated team in SAFE Agile manner across all contributing partners mentioned above (data engineers, data governance, data scientists, service designers and software engineers) to define product features, design capabilities and execute build and delivery for the committed scope and timelines Apply strategic planning skills and thought process to make appropriate tradeoffs across teams, always keeping delivery to the business in forefront of a Customer Service Oriented mindset expected of a leader at a Director level Manage digital investment for all aspects of product, from initial budget received upon hire to outer year Annual Operating Plan participation Proactively find synergies across other strategic digital programs for the SE product to broaden the value realization Proactively communicate executive-ready strategy, roadmap, milestones and outcomes for all deliverables to a global audience or partners and stakeholders Build and oversee a team of strong data product managers providing them with relevant, timely coaching on delivery and their careers Actively lead conglomeration of delivery across all SE products for associated Objectives, Key Results (OKRs) and relevant KPIs for value realization post product build and deployment Qualifications/Requirements 3-5+ years of technical product management experience creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment. 7-10+ years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods organization preferred, or similar process-driven organization with roles in product and/or systems development Servant Leadership mentality, always striving to take others with you and remove blockers for teams to be optimally successful Experience recruiting, hiring and developing product management teams and talent in collaborative, fast-paced, global environment where balancing speed over perfection is key Ability to express quantitative outcomes delivered by the team in business terms Undergraduate degree required, ideally in technical or process focused areas Business curiosity as expressed via an MBA or related leadership experience Experience in agile development principles, with proven track record of product delivery Skills, Abilities, Knowledge: Balance of short term and long-term thinking across technical and business partners Ability to lead disparate teams towards a common goal, balancing each audience with confidence and authority, instilling understanding, learning and motivation Exhibit a high degree of urgency and passionate customer service orientation with an indomitable bias toward action in the face of ambiguity and challenge Equal ability to understand and influence business priorities as well as technical architecture Execute against time-sensitive requests from executives and cross-functional business partners Work with talented technical partners from engineering, data science, user design and architecture teams in a fast paced, agile development process Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and high emotional intelligence. Ability to cater messages to audience including all levels of the organization (from executives to software engineers at implementation level). Proven talent development skills with a strong sense of engagement while fostering diversity, inclusion and belonging within the organization Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
