Prudential International Insurance (PII) continues to be one of Prudential's fastest growing and most profitable business groups.  PII has operations in fourteen countries around the world (Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, China, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ghana, and Kenya) and is looking to fill a Director, Strategic Initiatives, Digital Transformation position within our International Insurance division. 

 

The Digital team within our International Insurance division functions as a Center of Excellence, that is responsible for assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms and potential partnerships and for building digital products that transform the way we do business and how we serve our customers.  Our team consists of digital product managers who collaborate with digital and technology teams in our international markets to build creative digital solutions in an agile way. We are looking for an outstanding digital product manager with experience building digital products across mobile, web and desktop from conception to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support best in class applications at the intersection of insurance and technology
  • Author roadmaps, epics, user stories and use cases, functional and nonfunctional requirements, and acceptance criteria to clearly define and communicate new services and features
  • Act as the voice of the user by building deep customer understanding via meetings, surveys, analytics, beta testing and usability research with the results summarized in personas that connects customer needs to our solutions
  • Analyze the market to assess the new product opportunity through a business case analysis lens
  • Lead agile cross-functional teams to bring new features and services to our application platform across the globe keeping reuse as a key feature with prioritization across markets
  • Develop digital solutions that put our customers at the center of everything we do and re-imagine their experience with financial services companies
  • Influence decisions on marketing strategy, platforms and customer engagement
  • Interact with other high performing teams across the globe to inspire innovation and champion change
  • Development of compelling customer journeys and superior experiences in partnership with Prudential application development & infrastructure teams and a set of strategic third party vendors



Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; engineering, quantitative, computer science or related discipline preferred
  • 7 years of professional experience in the life insurance, protection, banking or other financial services organization
  • 5 experience building digital products across mobile, web and desktop from conception to delivery
  • Implemented products from ideation to implementation
  • Experience in writing clear and concise user stories for both business and technical needs
  • Software development experience preferred
  • Agile or SAFe (Scaled Agile) certification and Product management certification (ex: Pragmatic Institute) strongly preferred
  • Ability to drive the ideation, design and delivery of digital solutions in close collaboration with a range of partners including business owners, technology, operations, legal & compliance, marketing & sales across multiple international locations
  • Experience in what it takes to build a scalable digital platform leveraging existing digital assets and creating new ones that can used across geographies and functions and on multiple distribution channels (mobile, web, desktop, API)
  • Experience in researching, analyzing and organizing customer needs and corresponding journeys; bridge the technical and business worlds ensuring we are building the right products with a combination of vision, market/user/competitor research and usage metrics
  • Experience in the Digital Product Management discipline doing business analysis, market/user research; as well as owning the digital roadmap
  • Outstanding record in designing innovative and data driven products, leveraging competitive trends, new technologies, human centered design and an agile development methodology.
  • Comfortable working in the SAFe methodology, in scrum teams / Agile release trains with different disciplines
  • Strong customer focus and should be able to collaborate with users and customers to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Experience in managing top of the marketing funnel (online customer acquisition), Google/ Adobe analytics tools, Marketing Automation solutions, A/B testing tools, etc. will be strongly preferred
  • Experience in researching and analyzing the insurance and financial services digital product landscape is strongly preferred
