The Director Data Insights will be responsible for initiatives that support Consumer Field Services, Consumer Mobility Operations, Network Engineering, and CDO through AI Engineering. This role is primarily focused on delivering platform AI engineering. The Director will be responsible for directly managing a team of 10 or more individual contributors made up of data scientists, ai integration engineers, and software developers. This is a highly technical leadership role that requires someone with both strong technical skills as well as supervisory and leadership skills. The director role with interface at the Director and Above levels with our partners in Field Services, Mobility & Entertainment, Digital Retail Care, and Technology Operations, as well as interface with numerous leaders within the CDO including Data Supply Chain and Product Development.


The Director of Data Insights will be responsible for thought and delivery leadership in AI Engineering as well as directly responsible for the delivery of solutions that include both software and data insights. This role will be responsible for budgeting and resource allocation. As a supervisory role will be responsible for coaching direct reports consisting of data scientists, ai integration engineers, and software developers, as well as providing day to day direction. This role will be responsible for assembling, hiring, and cultivating a new team. The role will include heavy collaboration and interaction with various CDO group including the PMO, Product Team, and other Data Science Teams. The role will interact regularly with ATO partners in the labs, Technology Development, and Field Services. The Director is directly responsible for delivering both data insights and solutions as well as driving CDO cash and value results.


Considered to be an expert in the area of Data Analytics. Knowledge of and ability to work with Hadoop, Map Reduce, HIVE, Spark, Azure, Snowflake, Delta Lake, Jupyter, Kafka. Expert knowledge in regression techniques, clustering, decision trees, and machine learning approaches. Expert knowledge in data analytics tools - R, Python, Databricks, H2O. Education: Preferred Masters in Computer Science, Math, Scientific Computing, or STEM focus area, or equivalent experience. Typically requires 10 or more years experience.
