The Modeling Center of Excellence (MCOE) is responsible for the governance, development, and testing of valuation and projections models within the Domestic lines of Prudential businesses. Within the MCOE, the Business Architecture team leads the implementation of the Actuarial Architecture Strategy, to improve the scope, controls, functionality, and performance of end-to-end models.

This position within the Business Architecture team will support Projections Center of Excellence (PCOE) initiatives to achieve fully-automated ALM and forecasting processes and enable robust analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate with other MCOE teams, Business Unit actuaries, Actuarial & Finance Technology, and Finance. This opportunity combines core actuarial skills with technology to empower faster and more insightful analysis to drive key decisions and business strategy.


Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with specialists across the organization to execute the ALM Prime project, the end-to-end redesign of ALM model processes within a common framework and infrastructure.

Research, evaluate, and implement long-term automated process and data solutions to replace manual efforts, such as assumption preparation and validation, AXIS model run execution, and results consolidation.

Understand product, legal entity, and enterprise ALM reporting needs to simplify consolidation and reporting.

Conceive, design, and implement new analytics capabilities to better explain the complex dynamics of ALM results, supporting Asset Adequacy Testing, capital calculations, and stress testing.

Support the Deterministic Projections Capabilities project to streamline base and stress scenario forecasting, focusing on consolidation and standardization of Actuarial forecast data within the Liability Data Warehouse and the generation of forecasted accounting.

Represent Business Architecture on cross-functional Agile teams, leading the organizations initiative for more flexible and efficient operating models.

Evaluate designs and encourage consistency with the broader architecture strategy.



  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science/Engineering is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Innovative and creative problem solver with strong reasoning skills

  • Actuarial model and process experience with track record of driving improvements

  • Knowledge of ALM model processes, results analysis, and reporting

  • Some familiarity with enterprise IT automation, database, and Business Intelligence solutions

  • Demonstrated effectiveness working on multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, agile environment
