Are you a strategic, innovative Director of Facilities ready to help clients optimize their business!


We are looking for a Facilities Director with a strong manufacturing background to lead a team of 100 FTE and 3 Salary Managers in our Flagship location located in Inwood, WV. This Director of Facilities will have technical knowledge of hard services (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Manufacturing Equipment, Building Maintenance, etc.) in a manufacturing environment. A combined total of 20 million square feet oversight, that also includes oversight of the following line of services such as, Security, Culinary, Hard and Soft services.  This position requires a strategic leader, knowledge of GMP (Good manufacturing practices), experience in multi-site and state oversight and capable of managing complex projects and the ability to successfully integrate services within the requirements of the current MSA agreement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for client communication and field all client requests through direct reports
  • Oversight to all work in CMMS system (SAP knowledge is a plus)
  • Follow up with direct reports on all rm Monthly Building Safety tours checking machine rooms, stairwells and electrical rooms.  Complete Fresh Eyes and Safety Reviews to Counseling Client on Safety best practices
  • Routine Tour buildings to ensure all systems are in operation and customers are satisfied with buildings operation.
  • Attend and communicate weekly planning and schedule meetings with your area Executive Director of Facilities to determine work priority and schedule for the following week and long-range backlog is executed with business disruption and minimal barriers.
  • Work with Project Engineering by providing information on the building infrastructure and construction impact on the building occupants.  Attend all project meetings within our areas of responsibility. Provide written notifications to occupants of upcoming issues that may affect their science or animal welfare. Ensure all facility and maintenance issues are addressed during conceptual design.
  • Ensure all vendors are properly PO in the systems to minimize billing errors.
  • Find and scope projects to reduce cost savings at the site and throughout the geographical area.

Must be available 24/7 to respond to building emergencies or to respond to work being performed by contractors after hours.

Position Summary

The Director of Facilities Operations  is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the  preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management.  The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.  The Director may oversee  construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or  logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience- 5 years

Basic Functional Experience- 5 years
