Texoma Medical Center, a 378-bed facility (297 acute, 60 behavioral, 21 rehabilitation) with a 12-room operating suite and eight floors, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region.

POSITION SUMMARY:Position will be responsible to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the operations of the Engineering, Maintenance and Grounds departments. Complete all duties and functions of the hospital Safety Officer. Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements. Manage staff and contractors to adequately to ensure and maintain the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings. Plan, predict, maintain and repair building and equipment. Utilize energy management and tracking tools in order to maintain efficient utility operations. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.

Job Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma and degree or certification in a technical trade or field related to facility maintenance and engineering. Bachelors degree in Engineering or comparable field strongly preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of previous acute care hospital engineering management experience. Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry. Previous project management experience. Experience in a high volume healthcare system strongly preferred. Seasoned management skills required for multi-faceted department.

Maintain current valid drivers license. Currently certified as Certified Healthcare Facility Manager or obtains certification within one (1) year of hire.

Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, The Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards. Intermediate level computer experience. Including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Management Systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
