We have an immediate opening for a Director of Food Services to join our team. This is a Salaried, Exempt, Full Time position with excellent benefits and generous paid time off program.

The Director of Food Services has responsibility for assuring that the daily tasks of the dietary department are carried out in accordance with hospital policy and in compliance with County, State and Federal Regulations as well as Accrediting Standards. Duties include but are not limited to: maintain a qualified staff and provide training to new staff as necessary; supervision & evaluation of dietary staff; act as a liaison between the Dietary and all other departments; participate on hospital committees; ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies and procedures; maintain quality, production and nutritional output of the department; provide food service for special functions; ensures pleasing presentation and taste of food; monitors associated patient satisfactions scores;monitors an effective staffing and position control plan for the department; and monitors equipment used & orders repairs as needed.

Job Requirements

The position of Director of Food Services requires the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Management or related field. Alternative levels of education may be considered with a minimum offive (5) years food services institutional experience.
  • Knowledge in culinary skills, institutional food production and nutritional values
  • Food Services oversight
  • ServSafeCertification(s)
  • Supervisor/Managerexperience
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills.
  • Budget management experience preferred.
  • Computer skills-word and excel and outlook
  • Experience developing and managing menus
