**ROLE SUMMARY**

As a member of the Digital Innovation Lab team, you will be an expert at transforming conceptual aspirations into well understood digital innovation opportunities. The team is responsible for providing enterprise-wide support for sensing and scanning of new digital trends and emerging technologies, mechanisms to incubate high-value digital opportunities, and developing essential partnerships across the healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Specifically, this role will focus on activities that will accelerate the exploration of emerging digital innovations and operationalizing those that we choose to scale based upon rigorous analysis. Operating in partnership with Architects & Digital Strategists, Client Partners & Product Management, and Creation Center colleagues the work will focus on advancing key priorities outlined in Pfizer's Digital Innovation Agenda & Plans on a Page.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Support Digital Strategists in qualifying innovation opportunities, developing business cases, and collaborating w/ Creation Center colleagues to illustrate potential requirements to scale potential solutions.

+ Design and prototype, as appropriate, use cases for applying innovative emerging digital technologies to identified priorities

+ Support Innovation Ecosystem Engagement colleagues to create a focused network to continuously evaluate and keep a pulse on emerging trends in the digital healthcare landscape and deliver against a demand funnel of new requests for research.

+ Represent Pfizer's digital innovation agenda to technology-focused industry groups, public/private partnerships, and partnerships w/ country-specific healthcare authorities (e.g. FDA, BfArM, NHS).

+ Design & communicate the technical requirements of open innovation challenges that leverage the external ecosystem (companies, startups, academia, etc) to solve internally developed challenges

+ Partner w/ Digital Architects to blueprints to capture digital strategy for significant areas of investment (e.g. Digital Companions, DTx, Content Classification, IoT)

+ Support Digital Architects w/ developing solution ideas that leverage innovative technologies (e.g. application of machine learning to patient-facing programs)

+ Partner w/ Architecture & Creation Center to colleagues to identify high-value capability areas that are well positioned for advancement via partnerships.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Bachelors Degree required

+ 7+ years of experience working with a large, cross functional organization with an increasing scope of responsibility

+ The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are well organized, results-oriented, self-motivated, practical, engaging and have strong collaboration and communication skills

+ Experience developing strategic and tactical plans

+ Ability to conceptualize, develop and scale new capabilities/functions

+ Experience in analyzing a competitive health care environment, and developing and implementing strategic recommendations for improved position in a dynamic and rapidly changing industry

+ Strong team player with the ability to engage functional experts from a wide range of functional areas (commercial, technology, legal, medical, etc.)

+ Good problem solver with passion for driving digital innovation projects through to completion

+ Solid understanding and hands-on experience with areas of emerging technology (machine learning. blockchain)

+ Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills, able to Influence leadership at multiple levels

+ Proven ability to establish strong relationships with key external partners (technology partners, government accelerators, academia) in support of our global ecosystem engagement programs

+ Experience in working on digital initiatives that involve a complex array of stakeholders and dependencies, including compliance, legal and regulatory that are different in each market.

+ Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate with senior leadership (ELT-2, ELT-3)

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Advanced degree in Health Informatics Preferred

+ Prior experience working in a digital health startups or the health ecosystem a plus including VCs, incubators, accelerators
