Who Youll Work With


Ciscos Legal Data Services team provides end-to-end ediscovery, forensic and reporting services to our legal, HR and compliance teams. We use state-of-the-art technology to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and find what matters quickly. We are a small team that delivers big results, and our program is widely recognized as one of the best in the industry.


What Youll Do


As the teams Digital Forensics Investigator, you will respond to a wide variety of investigative support requests from our legal, compliance and HR teams. You will investigate incidents of intellectual property theft, insider threats, HR complaints and provide forensic support for ediscovery processing.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting forensic imaging of laptops, tablets and mobile phones using tools like Deft, Cellebrite/Macquisition and Paladin
  • Decrypting, processing and analyzing data in forensic examination tools like Axiom, BlackLight, and Encase
  • Preparing investigative reports for senior leadership, in-house counsel, cross-functional teams and law enforcement
  • Conducting interviews of custodians or suspects on-site or remotely
  • Managing our inventory of evidence while adhering to chain of custody standard methodologies
  • Building ad-hoc queries into various databases and repositories using SQL, Business Objects and proprietary tools


Who You Are

  • You possess a strong dedication to dig as deep as an investigation requires to find the answers to complex issues
  • You have the ability to maintain the highest ethical standards in important situations
  • You are comfortable working in uncomfortable situations and can operate effectively without knowing 100% of the facts
  • You are able to prioritize cases based on what is most meaningful to Ciscos business and identify areas of high risk
  • You have strong written and verbal skills and a sense of ownership for each incoming task or project
  • You are curious and have the drive to always improve and enhance our capabilities and solutions
  • You have experience with the following tools: Axiom, BlackLight, Cellebrite/Macquisition, Deft, Encase, FTK, Paladin or other forensic analysis tools
  • You have a deep understanding of digital investigations and can adapt to ever-changing technology
  • You are familiar with various types of reporting or query tools such as Business Objects, Splunk, SQL, etc.
  • You have three or more years experience in digital forensics working in a corporate environment
  • EnCE, GCFE and/or ACE certification preferred
  • BA/BS degree in a related field preferred
