SummitRidge Hospital provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services in Lawrenceville, GA, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.Our dedicated team of professionalsprovide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experiencedDietitian to join our talented team. Primarily responsible for performing functions of Clinical nutrition service, such as nutrition assessment, modified diet formulations and self-management training.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Assess high risk patients identified by nursing from patients health history form, physicians, and other allied health care professionals. Assessment may include:

Calculation for energy and proteins needs based on body mass index (BMI), height/weight, and ideal body weight (BMI).

Determination of visceral protein and somatic protein depletion/malnutrition.

Analyzing electrolytes, micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), macronutients (carbohydrate/protein/fat), and other laboratory data applicable to normal and diseased pathophysiology.

Calculate estimate fluid requierement based on age, hydration, and clinical status of patients.

Determinations of obesity based on BMI with appropriate level of grading.

Follow Nutrition Care Plan to reassess and change plans as necessary.

Calculate and document intake analysis.

Educate patients and family members on modified diet.

Create and revise patient education materials.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in foods and nutrition required or allowed major.

Current Georgia licensure as a Dietitian required.

Prior hospital experience in clinical nutrition for 2 years preferred with current skills of Patient Assessment in the Acute Care Enviornment.
