Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services currently has a Clinical Dietitian position available. The Clinical Dietitian will provide clinical nutrition services to patients and ensure patient satisfaction, proper diet maintenance, quality care, regulatory compliance and Servie Excellence.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical nutrition services including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention to an inpatient population
  • Develops, revises and individualizes nutrition care plan based on information from the patient, medical record, family and health care team members
  • Interviews patients assigned and documents pertinent information on the appropriate nutrition documentation forms
  • Interprets physician diet orders and modifies diet according to diet patterns and patient preferences. Instructs patients in diet principles and restrictions per physician diet order and documents pertinent information
  • Provides substitutions if patient is unable to eat the meal provided, in accordance with diet restrictions
  • Relates information on assigned patients to food production staff and Dietary Director. This information is documented on the patients Treatment Plan.
  • Evaluates appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommends diet order changes as indicated
Job Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in foods and nutrition preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of inpatient acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • The Clinical Dietitian must be a member of the American Dietetic Association with current registration
  • Adaptable, organized personality and the ability to excel in a team environment is required. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary treatment team is highly preferred. Must have exceptional communication skills and be a strong team player
  • Required to attend1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
