DESCRIPTION

As an Alexa Preview Device Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a big and immediate impact on the Alexa customer experience. This is an exciting and critical area of growth for Alexa Preview Operations to support product releases that will be highly visible to participants and business partners, and will require a significant amount of autonomy, reporting and €œthinking big€. Alexa Preview needs a self-motivated Device Specialist to coordinate the daily management of receiving and distribution of devices through local and international channels.

This role requires working with physical devices such as packaging, scanning and distribution. It will also require an individual that can foresee challenges, adapt and plan to the needs of others and overcome planned or unplanned limitations. Applicant should be able to lift 50 pounds and move from building to building within a 5-block radius with or without reasonable accommodation.

Key opportunities:
· Be the first point of interaction between our team and our beta participants by supporting device distribution, ensuring that participants are fully enabled to test Alexa and provide their insights.
· Work with program and engagement managers, and technical teams, to prepare devices and manage inventory at scale.
· Challenge and improve existing processes and help define KPIs.

Primary responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day execution and delivery of Operations tasks across multiple programs and provide input for planing and team capacity. Including receiving, flashing, prepping and shipping.
· Owning post-distribution activities such as checkouts, allowlisting, updating of necessary records/tools.
· Root causing and resolving operational exceptions such as participant access issues, and shipment tracking exceptions or other disruptions.
· Provide input metrics to Operations WBR and Operations Priorities meetings.
· Assist in troubleshooting/resolution of technical and logistical issues.
· Own the delivery and tracking of inventory audits both virtual and physical.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· HS Diploma or equivalent 2+ years work Experience
· Bachelors degree or working towards degree
· Ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes of technical issues.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook
· Experience in Fulfillment center or warehouse environment
· Experience with technical applications such as PuTTy and Python.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with SQL
· Knowledge of international trade controls/ processes.
· Experience developing and maintaining automation programs in Python or other similar programming languages.
· Experience with continuous improvement in an operational environment that is heavily process-oriented
