Qualifications

Required skills:
  1. At least 8-10 year of experience performing the following technical activities
    1. Data Administration activities for SQL Server Database
  1. Expertise with STIGs, Database Encryption, Security and Hardening
  2. Expertise with Data Loading
  • Expertise with Database Backup and Restore/Recovery
  1. Expertise with writing stored procedures, functions, and advance SQL Server database queries
  2. Ability to understand and build a relational data model
  3. Expertise with relational database concepts
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Migration Assistance (SSMA), and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools/technologies
  3. Soft skills to work with multiple project stakeholders and complete technical database-related tasks on time
  4. US Citizenship, DoD clearance, and Security+ Certification
  5. Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.


Good to have additional skills:
  1. Two years or more experience on data migration and/or data integration project as a database administrator
  2. Experience with Agile Methodology
  3. Experience with DOD Training Domain
  4. Experience with managing Oracle, DB2, and/or any additional RDBMS (in addition to SQL Server)
  5. Experience with managing MongoDB or any other NoSQL database
  6. Prior working experience on AWS GovCloud
  7. Prior working experience on any data migration tool


Responsibilities

Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation. Evaluates, sizes and selects technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities, for database management systems and application databases. Writes and tunes SQL queries for performance and scalability. Implements comprehensive backup and database replication solutions.

Colorado Salary Maximum:$177,611.20
