The Offerings and Solution Development team is responsible for ensuring a fully integrated, industry-leading portfolio of offerings that are repeatable, differentiated solutions aligned to our customers' goals. The team leverages client intimacy to drive a competitive advantage while also driving offering differentiation through innovation, IP/patents, and digital services.

Responsibilities

Analytics and Data Service:

At Perspecta, we provide a full spectrum of analytic and data focused services to manage, secure and exploit data as an asset to support evidence-based decisions and enable vital outcomes. To do this, collaboration is key. Together with our customers, we collaborate to create a digital data transformation roadmap with defined initiatives to effectively operationalize data management and ensure that data continues to be a valuable asset thats integrated into your information ecosystem.

We help our customers select and deploy the right technologies. Whether its artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet of Things or big data, we have the expertise to enable information maturity and drive organizational decision making to improve business and mission outcomes.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Analytics and Data Service team you will mature Perspectas existing AI/ML platform into a delivery-ready product that enables rapid configuration and deployment of a robust AI/ML serverless architecture that is cloud independent for end to end ingestion, orchestration, analytic processing and visualization of advanced analytic insights for customers. You will integrate open source and COTS tools from partners/vendors as solution accelerators, proving Perspectas thought leadership and branding in the next generation of big data and AI/ML platforms. Our AI/ML platform will provide an architecture-agnostic set of services with one click deploy that scales to multiple customer missions and data types.

Our intern program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Perspecta and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. Perspectas summer internship program places an emphasis on developing the next generations workforce. This being said, as part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various branches of the company. This includes the chance to participate in a corporate public speaking course, complete technical certification training courses, attend brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team and participate in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns.

Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career with Perspecta. We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to get you to your goals. At the end of the program each intern will give a brief presentation to our executive team summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working for us.

Interns typically represent college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Under direct supervision, performs various hands-on tasks and assignments for the organization's professional staff in such disciplines as Engineering, Software Development, Database Management, Security Threat Analysis.

We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks and commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week. This program is geared towards technical college students, actively enrolled at a four year university, who will be rising into their senior year. Juniors may be considered if they have declared their major and have qualified coursework.

Qualifications

Must be a US citizen. May be required to obtain a government security clearance. Must be actively pursuing a 4 year degree at an accredited university. Must be pursuing a degree in engineering, mathematics, business, information technology, computer science, or related fields. An ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior. An ideal candidate will have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher. Requires High School level plus some advanced training.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in several of the following:
    • Python programming
    • Probability & Statistics (Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, Bayesian Methods, Hypothesis Testing, Time Series)
    • Databases (Relational, NoSQL, Graph Databases, etc.)
    • Machine Learning (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Neural Networks)
    • Natural Language Processing and Text Analytics
    • Graph/Network Analytics
    • Big Data (Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, etc.)
    • Data Visualization (D3, Seaborn, Bokeh, Matplotlib, Yellowbrick, ggplot, etc.)
  • Proven ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assume ownership of tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
