*Lead Strategy Analyst
Data Ownership and Stewardship Team*

[We are expanding our team to support the Edward Jones Enterprise Data Governance capability within the firms Information Data Management program. We exist to lead the firm in maximizing the value, quality, trust and understanding of our data for the benefit of clients, branches and the firm at scale.]()

This new function will partner closely with the Data Governance Center of Excellence and is responsible to activate and mature our data stewardship community using the firm's newly created data governance framework.
The Data Ownership and Stewardship Lead Strategy Analyst will partner with data stewards to facilitate data certification, the use of metadata playbooks, standards and policies, and support the overall data stewardship community in managing the ongoing health of our data assets. This team will work closely with business stakeholders and technology partners, to champion a data-centric culture and ensure we have an engaged and empowered community of data allies and stewards around our business data domains.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be a change agent for data literacy and collaborate with different parts of the organization to advance and mature our data governance posture via our stewardship community

* Partner with team members to establish and activate the data stewardship experience

* Partner with team members to identify, activate and support stewardship programs, and utilize metadata management tools, data quality tools, etc to operationalize and scale our data governance capabilities

* Ensure best practices are being leveraged and enforced in firm initiatives via the stewardship community, which requires partnering closely with the Data Governance COE (center of excellence)

* Lead change management, communication, training, and education initiatives

* Develop and manage business relationships with leaders across the organization

* Inform and educate other business areas as to the impact of data stewardship, providing recommendations to influence strategic direction; deliver insights on opportunities for enhancing Firm performance.

* Communicate across a wide range of audiences with specialized subject matter expertise on data stewardship

*Position Qualifications:*

* Undergraduate degree required, preferably in the areas of finance, business, analytics or information systems. Advanced degree is a plus.

* 7+ years general business experience in marketing, finance, data analytics, or information systems fields strongly preferred.

* Preference to candidates with knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets.

* Ability to connect business processes to data production and analytics usages

* Ability to prioritize different data governance and management initiatives in a way that maximizes analytics outcomes for the firm

* Strong critical thinking skills and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

* Motivated to understand and keep current with Data, Analytics and BI Industry trends and best practices.

* Demonstrated technical depth and experience in the following:

* Experience working with and writing requirements for both relational and dimensional database architectures and data elements.

* Understanding of Data Governance principles and concepts.

* Fluency in Business Intelligence and Analytics principles, best practices and appropriate usage.

* Knowledge of BI and/or Analytics tools including Tableau, Microstrategy, Python, or R.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts in an understandable and concise format, adapted to the audience at hand.

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects along with recurring responsibilities. Strong project management skills preferred with ability to formulate, define and execute tasks towards completion of project objectives and timeline.

* Working knowledge of financial products and services preferred.
