Auto req ID: 255067BR Job Description The Data Lake & Data Warehouse Architect, Lead & Developer is an analytical architectural platform and technical lead primarily involved with the development of data solutions utilizing data lake technologies such as Denodo & Presto data virtualization, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Teradata, and Synapse. The role will include interfacing with delivery leads to gather requirements and build platform solutions accordingly with a team that will include data modeling, data engineering, and common modules to be utilized across all teams. The role will require coordination amongst many development teams to work to a common standard. The role will also consist of delivery vertical data solutions as well. The responsibilities will include: The architect will deliver common platforms and solutions on the data lake and data warehouse platform utilized by all data engineering teams. Interface with delivery leads for requirements, design, delivery, testing and user training of reporting and analytics solutions. Ensure critical business needs for reporting both are met. Lead seamless user experience for business leveraging multiple reporting tools ( BOBJ, Tableau, PowerBI ) Enable self-service creating semantic views and training Actively engage business process owners, offering solution alternatives for optimization, simplification and standardization Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore scrum team members to ensure a prioritized and sufficient product backlog for the teams to work against Interface with delivery leads for requirements, design, delivery, testing and user training of reporting and analytics solutions Ensure critical business needs for reporting both are met. Lead seamless user experience for business leveraging multiple reporting tools ( BOBJ, Tableau, PowerBI ) Enable self-service creating semantic views and training Actively engage business process owners, offering solution alternatives for optimization, simplification and standardization Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore scrum team members to ensure a prioritized and sufficient product backlog for the teams to work against Qualifications/Requirements Overall 7 years of experience with main focus in technology and able to scale up on new technologies. 5 years of experience in working on big projects and able to collaborate across multiple teams. 3 years of experience in Teradata & data engineering technologies 2 years of people management Experience with ETL, Informatica, Teradata, etc. Optional: ADF, Data Bricks, Presto Deep knowledge of functional processes and the links to technical development Deep knowledge of SQL and data warehouse methodologies. Preferred to have Java & Python experience The candidate should have these leadership skills: Demonstrates the desire and ability to develop new technology skills, business knowledge, and customer service capability through training, experimentation, and self-study Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers Ability to effectively manage an international team of experts Ability to effectively work with remote teams in different regions of the worldCOVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role, effective December 31, 2021.
