Cisco Data and Analytics (D&A) Offices charter is to Accelerate Ciscos journey to a data-driven business. We lead enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy, governance, policy development, and provide data and insights as a service for Cisco. The playing field is exceptionally dynamic, energized by Ciscos vision to deliver highly secure, software-defined, automated and intelligent platforms for our customers. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced team member to join our Data Governance team. You will have matrixed leadership responsibility and be the catalyst for how we govern and partner with our internal partner community in a highly federated environment as our next generation Data Strategy is implemented across Cisco. You will build and engage a community of aspiring data governance fans within the company!

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• 8+ years of industry experience with significant exposure to various facets of Data Governance including data strategy creation and data lifecycle management along with global people team leadership responsibility of teams 5 or more.
• Experience in organizing and chairing a data and analytics governance council
• Experience with cloud data analytics tools, such as Snowflake, Looker, and Segment, a plus.
• Ability to implement user-friendly processes to provision appropriate access to various teams and individuals, with a balance in data privacy and security, regulation compliance, and enabling efficient product development based on key learnings from prior experience within, or in partnership with, these critical functions
• Experience in transitioning a team from Waterfall to Agile framework and owning the success metrics for delivery.
• Communicate and coordinate with multi-functional internal partners to embed data governance controls and policies across the enterprise.
• Ability to communicate at all levels with utmost efficiency, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical, multi-functional teams
