Auto req ID: 269397BR Job Description Locations: Purchase, NY, New York, NY, and Plano, TX PepsiCo Data Governance Program Overview: PepsiCo is establishing a Data Governance program that will be the custodian of the processes, policies, rules and standards by which the Company will define its most critical data. Enabling this program will: Define ownership and accountability of our critical data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity throughout PepsiCos systems: Leverage data as a strategic enterprise asset enabling data-based decision analytics Improve productivity and efficiency of daily business operations Position Overview: The Data Governance Manager is responsible for working with PepsiCo sectors and functions to implement, enhance, maintain, and support a global data governance platform across the PepsiCo enterprise. This role requires deep knowledge of data governance tools for operationalization of an Informatica Data Governance platform, specifically focused on the Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Axon Data Governance Hub. This role will be deployed to work with the Global Platform lead to support various programs, projects, and sectors within PepsiCo to ensure data related requirements are in adherence to the global data governance policies set forth by the Global Data Governance Risk & Policy team. This role will support the global data governance team to operationalize and provide solutions for deployment of a global technology platform to manage and govern PepsiCos core data as per established global standards. The Manager will work closely with Global Data Platform Lead and Stewards to ensure the solutions developed are in line with Governance Standards and technical support is available as large programs with focus on data are being rolled out and tracked as per the program charter established along with meeting core business objectives. The Manager will also be expected to guide a small team of data governance analysts and consultant resources to ensure project deliverables are completed and participate in the overall configuration of our global data governance platform. Primary Accountabilities: Manage data governance technical rollouts to program teams from a platform usage & functional coverage standpoint. Build new functionalities and scanners to provide support to Global teams Manage technical integration and configuration efforts related to expansion of Data Governance Platform. Manage a team of internal and external data governance technical resources and ensure deliverables are met. Lead informational training sessions to walkthrough core use cases covered by the applications. Create functional use cases on the platform, Metadata classification standards for the application, dashboard view standards, data governance process coverage standards. Manage integrations between Axon and IDQ applications to display integrated rules/scores on Axon Configure Technical scanners and setup integration of Technical and Business Metadata. Assess and recommend AXON/EDC design for individual project tracks Review the Business Glossary and ensure alignment with Data Policies/Standards Work in collaboration with IT and Security teams standards & capabilities. Provide support on how data governance should address as part of platform maintenance and updates. Collaborate with business, security, technical and quality teams to deliver the data governance program Communicate regularly with program teams and stewards to make necessary design reviews on the platform as needed. Share DG technology best practices and performance optimization methods as applicable. Enterprise Data Governance Operations and Advisory: Ensure alignment of the data governance program and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models. Support the maintenance of enterprise-level data standards in the platform along with a repository of key elements pertaining to their in-scope data domain (e.g external data) and promote their use throughout the PepsiCo organization. Perform design reviews on various projects to ensure that any data-related changes are aligned to the platform as well as managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards. Advice on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data-related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards. Qualifications/Requirements Key Skills/Experience Required: 10+ years of experience working with Data Governance tools (Informatica a plus) 7+ years of experience working with Informatica Platform for Data governance, including Metadata manager, EDC, Axon, Data Quality, R360 Has been part of full cycle data governance related implementation projects Has hands on technical experience with scanners, integrations, APIs (REST), developing LDOs/CDOs, data discovery, workflow creation, lineage creation Experience leading project implementation efforts with internal/external as well as onshore/offshore resources Strong techno- functional background who understands data lifecycle management, governance and how to use technology to automate compliance risks. Proficient with advanced SQL scripting and ETL transformation logic on the Informatica suite of applications Understanding of legal risk and data quality remediation efforts in improving enterprise data assets Knowledge of enterprise data architecture with modern applications (Informatica) Ability to partner with a multi-tiered and matrixed organization model to support complex data programs. Differentiating Competencies Required: Ability to understand and design platform rollouts for data governance operationalization Strong grasp of metamodel design and understanding of modern data architecture as it applies to data governance rollouts. Strong Communication Skills/Able to Persuade/Influence Others at all Organization Levels and the ability foster lasting partnerships Ability to translate functional requirements into technical use cases and requirements. Ability to work in Multi-Vendor scenario and work with product vendors on tickets and enhancements. Ability to think beyond the current state (processes, roles and tools) and work towards an unconstrained, optimized design An ability to solicit followership from the functional teams to think beyond the way the things work today Able to align various stakeholders to a common set of standards and the ability to sell the benefits of the EDG program Self-starter who welcomes responsibility, along with the ability to thrive in an evolving organization and an ability to bring structure to unstructured situations Matrix management skills and business acumen Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in understanding and presenting complex quantitative analyses to business partners and senior management COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
