Auto req ID: 268476BR Job Description PepsiCo Data Governance Program Overview: PepsiCo is establishing a Global Data Governance program that will be the custodian of the processes, policies, rules, and standards by which the Company will define its most critical data. Enabling this program will: Define ownership and accountability of our critical data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity throughout PepsiCos systems Leverage data as a strategic enterprise asset enabling data-based decision analytics Improve productivity and efficiency of daily business operationsPosition Overview: The PGT Global Data Owner role is responsible for ensuring our global ERP program (PepsiCo Global Template, aka PGT) adheres to and maintains alignment to the Enterprise Data Governance's processes, rules, and standards to support business functions as well as PepsiCos Global Priority Programs (ex. NRM, IBP, etc.) This will be achieved through the Data GPO working in tandem with the Data SDO operating as the primary decision makers for creating and consuming data across the Global PGT program. Additionally, they will be driving the team to interact directly with key deployment project stakeholders, Global Data Governance team, other data stewards across the organization and relevant SMEs throughout the organization as necessary. This position collaborates / advises with Global Data Stewards on data domain rules and standards while they manage PGT Deployment Stewards, which are accountable for the success of PepsiCos PGT program in their assigned Sector. Primary Accountabilities: The PGT Data GPO, working in tandem with the PGT Data SDO, will create data strategy, policies, and standards for the PGT Global Program and its deployments. S/he will drive design standardization and alignment for data requirements across all deployments. Championing Global Design Standards across all deployments working closely to align business requirements with PGT standards Reviewing and approving/rejecting requests for Data Standard changes on the Design Authority Data GPO will work with the Global D+A team to drive alignment across other PepsiCo initiatives Align data decisions to support PepsiCo and deployment timelines and objectives Align across PGT Global, PGT Deployment, and Global Data Stewards ensure tradeoffs / implications are between end-state goal and immediate project deliverables Accountable for building, aligning and delivering a PGT / PepsiCo data harmonization strategic roadmap (Horizon 1, 2, 3 thinking) outlining harmonization objectives against in-flight and new deployments. Accountable for influencing teams to make decisions in support of roadmap (and / or highlighting trade-offs) Accountable for ensuring both PepsiCo and End User capability design and are front and center of any design trade offs Data GPO will partner with project teams to define aligned objectives and aligned outcomes for SIT Data loads, x-ref delivery, data quality, data owner identification, and data validation. They will have a seat at stage gate entry and exit criteria.Lead of Team of Deployment Data Stewards who: Drive PGT global data strategy, design, requirements, and process from conversion to deployment Promote data accuracy and adherence to PepsiCo defined data management and governance practices, as well as driving acceptance of PepsiCo's enterprise data standards and policies across the various business segments and areas that utilize (formally and informally) enterprise data and information. Define and advise relevant stakeholders as appropriate on data process and standards Drive new data process, standards, business rules and policy (in conjunction with the Governance Council as appropriate). Coordinate across Global and Deployment Value Streams in order to maintain consistency of PepsiCo's critical data. Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the GDG program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices. Ensure alignment of the data processes and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models. Monitor key data management and governance metrics to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within their domain(s). Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Global Data Governance established standards. Help identify the need for enterprise-level (and some below enterprise-level) data standards based on strategic business objectives and the evolution of enterprise-level capabilities and analytical requirements. Collaborates across the organization to ensure consistent and effective execution of data governance and management principles across PepsiCo's enterprise and analytical systems and data domains. Qualifications/Requirements 15+ years of experience working in technology working with Data, system migrations, implementations, and experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company; Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship 10+ years of experience working in SAP and other ERP systems, associated processes, involved systems and interdependent data 10-15+ years of experience leading/managing a team Ability to partner with the business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.
