What You'll Do

Datacentre Technical Solutions Architect.

  • Technically understands servers, storage, applications and networking along with thinking creatively and overcoming objections
  • Specific hands on experience with Unified Computing System (x86), Unified Fabric, ACI, Storage MDS, Virtualization, Hypervisors, Automation, Cloud, converged Infrastructure, Applications, Data Center architectures
  • Ability and knowledge to be subject matter expert in the fast paced data centre environment positioning and selling Unified Computing Solutions, and ACI, Tetration Analytics
  • Provides a consultative relationship with the customer and collaborates with account team and Business Entities to develop customer focused architectures driving industry-wide innovation
  • Leads the architectural design and associated Cisco technology strategy in alignment with key business drivers and market issues for an individual customer.
  • Experience of the Financial Services sector, banking and financial application environment

Role Overview

  • Senior customer -focused technical and architectural sales professional with knowledge of customer-specific business drivers and networking environment. Ability to POV Cisco DC full stack architecture and apply engineering experience with customers.
  • Demonstrate business relevancy to executive stake-holders.
  • Has strong understanding of the industry trends in the customer's vertical
  • Acts as a trusted-advisor in an account(s) and works with the account teams and account leadership ( Client Director) to demonstrate the business value of Cisco solutions, architectures, and services by aligning opportunities with a 3-5 year cross-architectural vision.
  • Serves as the lead advocate for customers within Cisco.

Customer Business focus

  • Translates customer's business and market drivers, with customer's business needs into strategic (long term) technical architecture to solve business problems
  • Understands and is able to effectively map business drivers, outcomes and capabilities to technology solutions.

Competitive Knowledge

  • Evaluate different approaches of Cisco vs. competitor solutions and determine which approach is most appropriate for the customer's business problem based on how the different models solve a business problem, including knowing when to compete vs collaborate.
  • Ability to look at a deep technical component of a solution and explain how it is relevant to our Customer vs a competitor
  • Have skills to do a competitive analysis at the technical and business level flexibly as needed.

Technology Knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge in existing and emerging technology concepts, protocols, standards, etc within and adjacent to customer specialization
  • Ability to leverage this knowledge and select appropriate technologies to address customer's business challenges.
  • Understanding of the impact (design and business outcome wise) of implementation of these technologies in customer environment

Who You'll Work With

  • Takes an active leadership role in providing customer requirements and inputs for tools required (e.g. ROI tool, etc.) back to Business Entities / BU / CMO.
  • Helps in the technology strategy and field enablement in his/her area of coverage
  • Active member of VT community
  • leading customer / partner events such as enablement, Cisco Live speaker/contributor, etc.
  • May act as liaison between the Account Team and industry organizations (IEEE, IETF, MPLS forum etc) to ensure the customer's architectural vision aligns with industry leading practices
