What You Will Do

As a Technical Program Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for helping Cisco Marketing and other Organizations through consultative engagements to collect, define, and prioritize requirements. You will also translate these requirements into detailed methodologies and business rules that can be used by the development team to operationalize. You will carry out data analyses, methodology development, and consensus building. You will partner with the Growth Marketing Insights and Analytics Intake and Activations teams to generate insights, verify these insights with appropriate organizations within and outside of Marketing, and share your recommendations with key business decision makers.

In summary, as a technical program engagement manager, you will not only ensure successful delivery through your excellent project leadership skills, but you will also provide consultative and technical support pre- and post-development. You will work with the regional, portfolio, and functional Marketing teams to drive a unified strategy that will benefit all of Marketing.

Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Project manage an initiative end-to-end, from intake through activation. Work through multiple organizations to plan and secure resources, understand data and reporting requirements, assess feasibility, scope efforts, set priorities and achievements, drive timely and high quality deliverables, and manage change.
  • Help solve complex data and reporting problems through data analysis, methodology development, and stakeholder on boards.
  • Provide ongoing communications, both written and verbal, to help manage change.
  • Perform risk management and change management on projects to drive successful completion.
  • Document methodology and system flows.
  • Provide content for training on new capabilities; conduct end user training and train the trainer workshops.
  • Provide support for quality control, unit and system testing, and troubleshooting.

Whom You Will Work With

As a member of the Data and Reporting Team within the Growth Marketing Insights and Analytics Organization, you will collaborate with the Strategic Insights and Marketing Optimization functions to accurately develop actionable insights and deliver these insights to the end users. These end users include other Marketing and Sales organizations.

Experience and Skills

  • Solid understanding of data and reporting platforms and processes.
  • Great teammate, open minded, patient while at the same time be able to proactively persuade others to on board or take actions, takes ownership, is a learner, and does not hesitate to provide interpersonal support as needed.
  • Top notch quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; tenacious problem solver with excellent attention to detail and strong business acuity.
  • Comfortable with taking an ambiguous problem, developing a project plan, and implementing the plan.
  • Excellent communicator who is able to engage various partners to embrace proposed ideas.
  • Ability to develop actionable insights from data in order to influence business decisions.
  • Can take ownership of a project end-to-end.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, due date driven environment.
  • Familiarity with data quality and data governance standard methodologies.
  • Platforms and Tools: solid understanding of data warehousing structures and SQL, particularly in Snowflake; excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with visualization tools like Domo and Tableau.
