Auto req ID: 239186BR Job Description Data and Analytics capabilities form a significant part of PepsiCos digital as advanced analytics and timely, actionable insights if put to action provide the competitive edge for PepsiCo to drive top-line growth and drive bottom-line efficiencies. This highly critical role will be accountable for implementation of PepsiCos multi-year Data and Analytics journey by driving the architecture and design of the Integrated Data Fabric, where disparate big data sources from internal systems and external providers can be brought together and integrated and harmonized to then enable various analytics products and solutions, and, also driving the platform engineering and operations of a truly scalable and flexible, cloud-based modern analytics platform that will support the whole spectrum of analytical solutions from reports and scorecards to Machine Learning and AI-based analytics solutions. This strategic leader must bring technical depth spanning in data engineering and DevSecOps, organizational savvy to build and lead large, global teams, complimented by strong executive presence, strategic thought leadership and collaboration skills. The leader will serve as the critical expert and point of contact across PepsiCo for all things Data and Analytics. Accountabilities: Manage and lead Global Data and Analytics Architecture and Platform Engineering organization with appropriate global organizational structure and governance Create, own, socialize and periodically refresh the north-star Data & Analytics architecture for PepsiCo, that will be the basis of the platform, tools and solutions delivered Lead matrixed team spanning all elements of the platform: Platform Strategy, Platform Innovation/Roadmap, Platform Engineering and Platform Administration and Operations Partner with CDO (S&T D&A) team to drive successful delivery of strategic, global programs Partner with sector Data & Digital IT leads to support the build and operations of sector analytics products leveraging the global platform Implement engineering design and associated essential foundational services Develop clear architectural patterns and guidelines and then provide solution architecture Lead the scoping, architecture, design and platform build of the data and analytics patterns across PGT waves, adhering to PGT governance, controls and standards Lead the migration of key on-premise applications to the cloud in support of PEP cloud strategy Manage overall budget of $20-30MM over 3-5 years. Drive greater scale and flexibility by driving automation via adopting CI/CD practices Partner with finance and vendor management to define/implement creative, flexible staffing strategy models to drive greater cost efficiency and productivity Partner with strategic platform engineering services providers and associated technology providers Serve as a platform and architecture expert and go-to leader for all things Data and Analytics architecture and platform Successful platform engineering and global architecture experience, including ongoing operations and sustain in global, large scale organization(s) Strong financial acumen to drive business case definition, tracking and promoting of business value creation Adept at managing global complexity, adjusting messaging, plans and mitigation plans flawlessly Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field required; masters degree preferredExperience: 15 years of IT technology experience, with clear leadership success and strategy development 10+ years of relevant data warehousing, BI, architecture, big data, data lake, advanced analytics experience inclusive of engineering and architecture design principles, organizational methodologies, cloud infrastructure implementations, data integration, application development and software engineering functions Experience forming and leading global engineering and operations teams at scale Experience leading delivery of complex, global data and analytics programs across functions and sectors Solid global architecture understanding, spanning infrastructure, operations, applications, security and controls Experience with design, configuration, migration and deployment experience related to Data Warehouse and Data Lake technologies Experience operating complex global data initiatives, spanning multiple data sources, complex application environments and a strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling and data engineering Experience with SQL, NoSQL and Big Data DBs Solid understanding of data security and controls concepts Experience with migration of data and BI workloads to public cloud Solid experience with engineering Data and Analytics platforms and technologies in the public cloud Experience defining and driving automation strategies and overall scalable data pipeline development and operationsSolid understanding of containerization and virtualization technologies and micro-services A strong understanding with CI/CD tools Automating environment builds to support DevSecOps (configuration as code) Good knowledge of SAP S/4, Enterprise HANA and related offerings Experience in driving business case success, adhering to financial-success metrics for business and IT Relocation Eligible: Not Eligible for Relocation Job Type: Regular All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
