This is a strategic and dynamic role that is positioned to drive effectiveness by creating value through centralized data acquisition, governance and collaboration across Commercialization, Procurement, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Vendors and more. The Senior Manager of Data Acquisition and Optimization for Commercial will be a key player in establishing a team focused on Commercial data partnerships in the emerging Data Acquisition & Optimization Center. This team will manage and leverage established 2nd & 3rd party data partnerships, data acquisition governance/storage solutions, data acquisition efficiencies, data asset & data partnership optimization and innovative solutions to drive business value, speed, and business impact. This role is also the primary interface for day to day interaction managing opportunities & innovation with data providers supporting Category Management & Retailer Partnerships, internal customers, the Enterprise Master Data Management Team and Enterprise Data Governance Team. The Senior Manager will be focused on innovative data partnerships that support PepsiCos data products and services across the strategic goals of the enterprise. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the value of all types of data assets, and have skills and experience in data products, product marketing, and business development. They will interact with senior members of the Commercial organization and consult on how to incorporate 3rd Party data into the decision-making process. This leader will also establish and grow a team of data partner managers that onboard and optimize partnerships in this space. Key Accountabilities: Success and Growth of Current Partnerships Ownership of data asset value chain Lead relationships with 3rd Party data partners supporting PepsiCos Commercial team Resolve customer escalations Drive the data partner life cycle from selection, negotiation, legal and use Recommend evolution and optimization of partner relationships Lead team of Data Partner Managers supporting business units, sectors, accounts Establish processes and best practices for centralizing management of existing global data partners Manage Data Acquisition for New Partnerships Lead the contract assessments and closure for new data partnerships Establish and manage the data acquisition process for new data partnerships Recommend enhancements to the onboarding process to create efficiencies Ensure new data assets adhere to quality standards and onboards properly and efficiently Identify opportunities for optimization through expansion to support growth, productivity through cost savings, contract remediation, or other related activities that strive to ensure PepsiCos data investment performance is at the optimal levels at all times Qualifications/Requirements Minimum 8 years working in data-driven business functions Minimum 6 years of experience managing data practitioners (analysts, scientist, product developers, UX, etc.) Minimum 4 years managing a team Bachelors Degree required Experience working with data providers across Category Management, Consumer Insights & Retailer Partnerships Masters degree preferredSkills, Abilities, Knowledge Very strong project and time management skills Ability to manage and update project timelines and identify roadblocks Leading and developing teams Excellent communication skills Deep knowledge of data applications for CPG Working knowledge of common data science capabilities and techniques Experience aligning data assets with business needs & product roadmaps Comfort with evolving situations and changing priorities Proactive attitude, anticipating problems and refining solutions Strong people and partner manager Collaborative and adept at exerting influence in a highly matrixed organization Relocation Eligible: Not Applicable Job Type: Regular All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
