Auto req ID: 238997BR Job Description This is a strategic and dynamic role that is positioned to drive effectiveness creating value through centralized data acquisition, governance and collaboration across Commercial, Procurement, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Vendors and more (navigating account team through to contract and incorporation planning). The Associate Manager of Data Acquisition and Optimization Category + Retailer Data will be a key player in establishing a team focused on retail data partnerships in the emerging Data Acquisition & Optimization Center. This team will manage and leverage established 2nd & 3rd party data partnerships, data acquisition governance/storage solutions, data acquisition efficiencies, data asset & data partnership optimization and innovative solutions to drive business value, speed, and business impact. This role is also an interface for day to day interaction managing opportunities & innovation with data providers supporting Category Management & Retailer Partnerships, internal customers, the Enterprise Master Data Management Team and Enterprise Data Governance Team. Key Accountabilities Help support building a Global Data Acquisition Center Support cultivating new strategic relationships with emerging external data partners Contribute to producing the Data Acquisition Centers Roadmap to serve PepsiCos overarching business strategy and objectivesSupport building the Global Data Acquisition Strategy & Governance Conduct research & investigation for capturing demand and needs from the strategic business units. Identifying the data required to meet these needs for input into business cases Proactively research and understand the global landscape for Traditional and Non-Traditional Data and identify new data sources and opportunities Proactively research and understand how Traditional and Non-Traditional Data is processed globally Help Implement Strategy & Drive Customer Satisfaction Support strategy implementation and research; responsible for both Traditional and Non-Traditional Data Acquisition ensuring that both are owned, stewarded and have critical insights captured (e.g. volumes, cost, usage) Support the Data & Analytics Product Portfolio created out of existing or purposely acquired data that can be used to improve decision making and intelligent action by consumers, the enterprise or other organizations Support ensuring the Data Acquisition Center offers a satisfying service to the business in a timely manner and proactively helps our business partners chose the most effective and valuable External Data ProductsOptimize Data Acquisition Identify best practices with data partnerships you are responsible for and look to replicate these across the enterprise Help manage and optimize the respective relationships/contracts with our current and emerging vendors, including third party agreements, data sharing and contracts Help identify and raise redundancies in data partnerships Qualifications/Requirements Minimum 5 years data management experience (data automation, data quality, data governance, data stewardship) Minimum 5 years experience managing Syndicated and/or Retailer data partnerships Minimum 3 years experience in CPG goods industry experience, or related Minimum 3 years experience of relevant business experience in meta data management/governance Bachelors Degree, Masters a plus Commercial, Legal and Regulatory knowledge and expertise with respect to data acquisition and usage.Experience: Demonstrated analytics skills and use of multiple software tools Experience in risk and legal reviews of vendor contracts and licensing agreements related to external data Experience in maintaining, managing various types of external data such as economic data from data and forecasts, data from suppliers, weather data, geolocation data, social media data and traditional consumer demographic data Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Negotiations Populating and driving adoption in Data Catalogs for Business-Users and Technical-Users (Scope: Acquired Data) Strategic Contract/Account/Vendor Management Metadata Management and Governance Knowledge of Consumer Privacy Laws at the Global, Regional and Local Levels Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws at the Global, Regional, and Local Levels Relocation Eligible: Not Applicable Job Type: Regular All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
