We have a leadership position open on our team! We are seeking an experienced,US Public Sector Sales Manager with a strong background in selling within theFederal industry. As aRegional Manager, you are involved in positioning and promoting the Customer Business & Political drivers, Partner Value proposition, leading Fed-DoD in the development and expansion of opportunities in the Fed-DoD community, and reinforcing existing relationships.

This is a good opportunity to apply your sales leadership experience working with a sales team using today's most innovative technologies working for a company with great branding and longevity. As a candidate for this role, you will possess a clear understanding of Fed-DoD Procurement Policies and understand the appropriate application of Lobbyists, Political Consultants, Marketing and PR Resources and buying cycles. The ideal candidate can balance strategic and operational issues, hire, develop and retain top talent and communicate the overall region strategy and business plan to multiple stakeholders in a collaborative manner.

What Youll Do

We believe that people plus technology equals transformation. When you work with us, youll play a pivotal role in sales strategy and process. Enthusiastically, youll use your technical knowledge to lead customer discussions, advance the sales process, and motivate Account Managers.

Direct executive engagement will be your primary function, so we want you to focus on business outcomes rather than making sales. On top of that, internal supporting teams and external partners will look to you to coordinate the team effort, too. Because youre in the lead, well look to you to make important resource decisions to apply corporate and account team resources to the creation of new opportunities.

Inspire the team to see what is possible and get them to think beyond a traditional linear mindset.
Hire, develop, motivate, and retain top sales talent for the region through coaching and mentoring.
Develop go-to-market business plan to exceed annual product, service and customer satisfaction objectives.
Develop and implement strategies to exceed sales objectives through effective use of direct and extended team resources.
Foster and facilitate a collaborative team environment which intersects empowerment with accountability in a matrix management organization structure.
Help facilitate and develop customer interactions and relationships with CXO's and other Line of Business executives within and outside of IT
Be a steward of the Cisco culture, perform customer advocacy, and deliver on agency mission success.
Understand the business climate, competitive environment, and share these findings and developments with management.
Proven track record leading a team of high caliber sales professionals selling within the
Federalmarket space is a must

BS Degree or equivalent working experience
8+ years of sales management experience building and managing a
Federalsales team is a must for this role
Exceptional executive presentation, communication and influence skills (written and verbal)
5 years selling to Fed-DoD customers is preferred
Travel is mostly DC based not likely to exceed 20% of the time
