Responsibilities

  • The Cybersecurity Operations Management Lead is responsible for applying knowledge and technical expertise to develop technical solutions to complex cyber security problems and provides highly innovative solutions to determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
  • Provide technical direction on network and systems engineering to develop network and systems engineering concepts and apply System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Develops, operates, and maintains enterprise tools and systems to provide situational awareness of network health, vulnerabilities, threats, and events and to operate and enhance enterprise tools enabling cyber/IT service support and operational management.
  • Responsible for supporting comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the network enterprise and unclassified and classified information systems.
  • Responsible for analyzing cyber/network traffic, identifying malicious and unauthorized activity, and responding to intrusion incidents.
  • Implements, configures, operates, and maintains cyber/network defense systems; and audits network security controls, manages enterprise vulnerabilities, drafts formal direction for review and ensuring compliance with enterprise remediation measures.
  • Coordinates with intelligence activities to gain situational awareness of cyber and security threats.
  • Assists Training Manager by standardizing training material.
  • Manages the operations of the workforce training program and maintaining a workforce consistent with DoD Information Assurance (IA) workforce standards per the DoD directive 8570.01-M.
  • Provides general IT management support, general networking, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) enterprise, CONUS and OCONUS deployment andTDY travel, functional training, technical and general O&M, documentation and reports, and meetings/briefings to support Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) operations.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years relevant experience; OR 7 or more years relevant experience.
  • Unix and Firewall experience
  • CISSP or CCNP-Security
  • MCSA, Network+ CE, Unix, Firewall and ITIL Foundation
