The Health group provides solutions to help government healthcare agencies lower administrative costs, reduce fraud and abuse, and improve the quality of services for individuals. We also provide analytics that combine clinical knowledge with big data technology and techniques to transform petabytes of data into meaningful solutions for our customers.


We are currently in search of a Cybersecurity Infrastructure Architect to support the Security Technology Infrastructure Management branch. At any given time, you will be responsible for managing multiple cybersecurity initiatives of varying size and complexity such as projects enabling DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) deployment across the agency, deployment of agency level integrated governance, risk and compliance management systems, dashboards, and processes (Archer Suite); Agency level Security Incident Event Management systems, dashboards, and processes (Splunk).

Work with key stakeholders to develop or identify Mission Essential Functions and Core Cyber Capabilities and provide mapping/alignment to security tools.
Provide assessment of configurations to ensure to proper integration of tools into the OIS Cyber Tool Stack.
Develop, review, and monitor change requests through the Change Control Board (CCB).
Perform technical evaluation and analysis of security tools and other technologies in the environment.
Participate in ongoing projects for deployment of systems for the OIS Security Enclave, including the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) infrastructure.
Contribute to the growth of the Department by producing artifacts for the knowledge base.


Required Education:

B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Network Architecture + 6 years equivalent experience.

AWS Cloud Practitioner, or ASW Solution Architect Certification.

Required Experience:

Risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk) and Risk Management Framework Assessment Methodology. Laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI) data security standards.
Cyber threats and vulnerabilities and specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
Current and emerging encryption algorithms (e.g., Column and Tablespace Encryption, file and disk encryption and cryptography / cryptographic key management concepts.
Business continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plans.
Security Assessment and Authorization process.
Cybersecurity and privacy principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools.
Organizational process improvement concepts and process maturity models (e.g., Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, CMMI for Services, CMMI for Acquisitions and DoD CMMC).
Service management concepts for networks and related standards (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]).
Application firewall concepts and functions (e.g., Single point of authentication/audit/policy enforcement, message scanning for malicious content, data anonymization for PCI and PII compliance, data loss protection scanning, accelerated cryptographic operations, SSL security, REST/JSON processing).
Program protection planning (e.g. information technology (IT) supply chain security/risk management policies, anti-tampering techniques, and requirements).
Enterprise information technology (IT) architectural concepts and patterns (e.g., baseline, validated design, and target architectures).

Required Clearance:

Clearable background (ability to obtain Public Trust).
