The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


  • The Cyber Security Architect/Engineer (Cyber Security Engineering) is responsible for providing technical analysis to a wide range of difficult problems and independently performs activities to install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices to include but is not limited to Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ACAS) and associated Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment/configurations.
  • Responsible for building tactical and strategic network profiles of specific systems and complete network architecture.
  • Develops system concept of operations and engineering plans to execute security requirements for new and existing systems with a focus on incident response policies and procedures.
  • Reviews STIGs compliance for changes and implement in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible for developing methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities and providing the capability to filter sensor traffic and alerts reporting activity.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to resolve network issues and performs actions necessary to ensure IDS/IPS sensors are collecting and reporting network activity.
  • Responsible for conducting network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using selected security tools, including but not limited to, IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxy, router, Endpoint Security Manager (ESM), Logger, Fidelis, Host Base Security System (HBSS) and ArcSight logs.
  • Establishes VPNs between sites for protected communications.
  • Conducts troubleshooting and fault isolation to ensure network connectivity to the sensor equipment.
  • Diagnoses and resolves end user problems and ensuring the end users adhere to the proper security policies and procedures.
  • Develops reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth, network architecture, as well as network security incidents and assists in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive actives and secure.
  • Provides general IT management support, general networking, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) enterprise, CONUS and OCONUS deployment andTDY travel, functional training, technical and general O&M, documentation and reports, and meetings/briefings to support Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) operations.


  • B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years relevant experience; OR 7 or more years relevant IT experience.
  • Firewall experience
  • CEH
  • MCSA, Network+ CE, Firewall, and ITIL Foundation
