What You'll Do
We need a visionary who strives to innovate the world of service offerings and solutions for Service Provider Mass Scale Infrastructure Services overall. You will partner with Product Managers on the evolution of our Customer Experience (CX) portfolio.  
You will lead a team of highly skilled professionals in the incubation of SP Networking technologies, solutions and offers, as well as be responsible for the technical enablement of our Customer Success Delivery organization.  To deliver the most impactful results, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Units, CX Delivery teams, Business Development Managers, Sales and of course Customers. 

Because youll craft so many inventive solutions, you'll need to juggle multiple things at once - focusing on the unique aspects of Mass Scale Infrastructure (IP Routing, Optical, Segment Routing, Mobility xHaul, Transport SDN, 400G adoption, etc)  while at the same time looking for opportunities to converge these into more integrated solutions where appropriate. Youll have the opportunity to be visible, interacting with senior management and engaging matrix-managed projects, making you a key influencer of the Service Provider Services business globally at Cisco.  You'll get the opportunity to contribute to the success of some of the most progressive Customer Lighthouse engagements in the industry.

Responsibilities include:
* Partner with Product Management to translate strategic priorities into new offers, new technical capabilities for Mass Scale Infrastructure Services.
* Manage diverse set of incubation activities by the team, across a range of Mass Scale Infrastructure Services  area.
* Collaborate with the Business Units and other key stakeholders on the evolution of our Mass Scale Infrastructure Services offering, including but not limited to: introduction of next generation platform such as Cisco 8000 Series Routers, transition from Mobile Backhaul to Mobile xHaul architectures, convergence of IP Routing and Optical into Routed Optical Network solutions, ongoing adoption of new underlay technologies (such as Segment Routing and SRv6), evolution of network programmability functions to true Transport SDN type of solutions.
* Partner with your peers responsible for SP Automation, to jointly define, create and enable the delivery of integrated SP Automation capabilities.

* Partner with your peers responsible for Subscriber Services (Mobile, Cable, Wireline), as there are a number of key synergistic opportunities across the domains, starting with the role of xHaul in an end-to-end 5G Mobility Architecture.
* Oversee our technical enablement activities for Mass Scale Infrastructure Services, as well as support our sales enablement responsibilities.  Find ways to continue to evolve our enablement functions in the Covid-era, looking for more effective ways to virtually provide training while still fostering a strong community of practitioners. 
* Participate in a range of different executive briefings and stakeholder interlock sessions, including crafting key communications collateral that represent the activities of the team.
* Managing remote team, that is geographically distributed across multiple time-zones.  Inspire, lead, mentor at both the individual and team level.

 

Who You'll Work With

Who You Are
Both your clients and your teammates consider you a charismatic, articulate leader and a born diplomat. As a result, you have a winning record of developing innovative solution capabilities.  You are a natural teacher, always seeking out opportunities to mentor not only your team, but evolve training/enablement functions to create delivery scale in the organization.  

Because of the rate at which the industry is evolving, you come with extensive mobility experience and can hit the ground running.  You also bring up other access technologies experiences (Cable, Wireline) or are able to pick those up quickly.  You have experience in leading highly innovative teams in the development of new product and/or service capabilities. As an added plus, you bring experience working for a Service Provider.

At minimum, we expect you to have a BA/BS, 10 years' experience delivering Service Provider services and solutions, 5 years or more solution architecture experience, as well as 3 years or more of managing highly innovative teams. You should also have expert knowledge of Cisco Mass Scale Infrastructure solutions, spanning more traditional networking technologies through to software-based automation solutions.
