Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) is PepsiCos beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States and Canada. This position will be part of the North America Beverage organization.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Retail Sales is responsible for developing and executing a selling strategy for assigned Retail Drug Accounts in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and the Western side of Pennsylvania. The Drug Accounts include, Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. The successful candidates will manage key customer relationships including working alongside each accounts field marketing managers and with PBNA internal national account sales teams to help execute plans and deliver revenue targets. Selling incremental activity is one of the key components of this role along with strong skills in communication, influence and writing.
Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for full-year financial plan development (as needed) for assigned accounts, including the business planning process, and ensuring financial forecast accuracy
Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned accounts by using fact-based selling methods
Leverage knowledge of financial drivers and trends (e.g., promotions, mix drivers, trade spend, bottler agreements) on customer performance to deliver revenue, profit and share objectives
Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
Analyze customer information and business trends using IRI and Nielsen to identify and expand business opportunities
Engage and align with the Selling Operations team to obtain support, and influence others to ensure flawless execution improve overall customer satisfaction
Cultivate strong customer relationships
Ensure customers are complying with PBC contract requirements
Minimum of 2 years of fact-based selling preferred
Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience
Consumer packaged goods experience
foundational commercial capability
Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically
This position is limited to persons with an indefinite right to work in the United States.

Must be willing and able to travel + 30-50% of the time in a large territory consisting of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and West Pennsylvania Area.
