Responsibilities

The Curriculum Designer will understand highly advanced technical subjects and will develop materials and labs that are concise, accurate and task-based. You will be responsible for the designs and develops of technical course content and lab exercises. Consulting with subject matter experts to determine objectives and gathers information used in the development of technical training courses. You will need to be able to effectively communicates cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and instructors. Ensures learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training materials meet the learning and performance objectives established in the PWS. The Curriculum Designer responsibilities include selecting appropriate instructional methods, defining time frames and preparing training materials in physical and digital formats. The ideal candidate will have experience in structuring educational programs and are familiar with both classroom-style and web-based courses, wed like to meet you. You will fill the programs skills and knowledge gaps by creating curricula that will educate all stakeholders. The Curriculum Designer will have exceptional problem-solving skills, be able to negotiate wit and be a, diversity advocate, and relationship builder. You should have a strong technical background, able to understand and explain highly technical subject matter, and have experience developing technical courseware. You should also have experience applying instructional design techniques and adult learning theory, excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively. You should have a high aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues, strong analytical skills, ability to build viable solutions, innovation, and ability to execute flawlessly.

Specific tasks the Curriculum Designer will ensure is accomplished, either online or as instructor-led opportunities, includes:

  1. Developing and maintain a Technical Training Curriculums
  2. Maintaining training documentation, including delivery methods, user documentation, and current training materials.
  3. Develop training to ensure end users of DIA systems understand how to use DIA Products and DIA understands how to operate as a team to deliver these products.
  4. Develop media such as training and educational videos in concert with product releases.
  5. Deliver subject matter expertise for the operational outreach training.
  6. Deliver training through any cost-reasonable and available means as directed by the Government including Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Defense Collaboration Services (DCS), and Mobile Training Teams (MTTs).
  7. Develop, sustain, update DIAs product library to ensure all training is applicable to current production environment.
  8. Deliver and maintain user access to appropriate training.

i. Provide an innovative approach and cost avoidance to end user training.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's w/ 08-10 yrs experience, Master's w/ 6 - 8 yrs experience, Or related equivalent experience w/o a degree
  3. Experience leading a distributed cross-functional mission and information technology training implementation team.
  4. Experience/Proficiency rapidly translating mission system needs into training capabilities, services, tools solutions.
  5. Experience designing and conducting training and development programs to improve individual and organizational users of systems mission performance.
  6. DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense Economics Database, Object Based Production (OBP), Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), IC Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE)].

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM Masters degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Professional Training Certification(s) [e.g., DoD Instructional Systems Design Professional Certification]
  3. Experience using Agile systems implementation methodologies.
  4. Mission/Business Capability analysis experience determining how a capability should work and how changes in conditions, threat, mission, ROE, operations, technology and the environment will affect outcomes.
  5. Experience delivering multi-media training and educational products.
  6. Experience delivering training through any cost-reasonable and available means including Computer Based Training (CBT), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Defense Collaboration Services (DCS), and Mobile Training Teams (MTTs).
  7. Experience performing Training Outreach efforts to promote new mission/business IT capabilities, services, tools & essential training to ensure user are knowledgeable for how to leverage & operate these mission/business enablers.
