The Credentials Coordinator will play a key role in overall review and verification of credentials, training history, and work history, in readiness for committees presentation, in accordance with NCQA standards and the MedExpress policies and procedures. Interacts with internal teams and providers to facilitate a timely application process, and continued oversight of the credentials expirations, reference completion, and committee approval for all MedExpress providers.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Drive project management and coordinate key activities within each phase of the credentialing processes.
  • ""
  • Independently researches and verifies work history, qualifications, and credentials to regulatory standards, escalating issues to appropriate medical leadership for further review and potential action.
  • ""
  • Proactively communicates with other key departments, medical leadership, and providers regarding key updates, start date status, potential delays, and deadlines.
  • ""
  • Monitors and tracks all expiring licensure for all provider types, escalating adverse actions to medical leadership and legal services with associated recommendation.
  • ""
  • Identify potential credentialing processing gaps that impact timely provider start dates.
  • ""
  • Input, upload documents, and audit all data and documentation into the credentialing management software.
  • ""
  • Commitment to process improvement by always looking for ways to improve current processes and proactively communicate ideas and suggestions with team members and management.

  • Maintains knowledge of current State, Federal, NCQA, and Company requirements for credentialing providers.

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a healthcare field
  • ""
  • 1 + years of experience in provider credentialing activities
  • ""
  • Ability to work independently recognizing plans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives
  • ""
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office
  • ""
  • Excellent analytical skills, provide attention to accuracy and detail, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • ""
  • Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests
  • ""
  • Work with other team members to solve complex problems
  • ""
