ADP is hiring Counsel. In this position you will be the attorney providing day-to-day legal support to ADP's Global Procurement organization. The successful candidate will report to theVice President, Managing Counsel for Global Procurement & Global Workplace Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and pragmatic legal counsel to the Global Procurement & Global Workplace Solutions teams meeting critical internal and vendor timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to contract/transaction managers to enable and empower them to efficiently navigate the contract negotiation process and support as a point of escalation for legal assistance.
  • Capable of synthesizing and summarizing information efficiently to allow informed and reasonable decisions on issues escalated for legal review.
  • Exercise judgment to bring in stakeholders as necessary and update management on status of projects.
  • Resolve contract disputes.
  • Work collaboratively with existing team of attorneys and paralegal currently supporting function.
  • Lead and support legal department projects including compliance and data privacy-related initiatives.
  • Assist with the creation, review and revision of ADP Global Procurement & Global Workplace Solutions standard contract templates and training materials.
  • Provide formal and informal training to contract managers, transaction managers and business partners.
  • Support and assist in updating Global Procurement & Global Workplace Solutions policies and procedures across ADP.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admission in good standing to the New Jersey state bar.
  • 7-10 years of experience, including both large firm and in-house practice with emphasis on transactions.
  • Ability to work well with existing team of attorneys and paralegal.
  • Superior contract negotiation and drafting skills and deep understanding of contract provisions and structure.
  • Ability to quickly understand new technology and new regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data privacy and compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex legal and technological concepts and summarize and explain them simply and concisely to various levels of management.
  • Sound judgement to distinguish between material and immaterial risk, and the ability to analyze and contractually mitigate risk as appropriate.
  • Superior knowledge and application of contract and business law.
  • Ability to be assertive while maintaining collaborative and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to calmly juggle multiple demands, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate and run reporting in technology systems used by Global Procurement & Global Workplace Solutions.
