Located near the airport in Metro Atlanta, Talbott Recovery Campus is a place of solace and healing for those suffering from addiction and mental health issues. We are a Partial Hospitalizationtreatment center offering a comprehensive, integrated program that addresses the needs of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Talbott Recovery Campus is currently seeking a Controller to work at our Main Campus near the airport.

Job Requirements

This position is a member of the facility leadership team at Talbott Recovery Campus. Providing financial leadership and day-to-day financial management. Including Oversight of the Departments impacting the Revenue Cycle to include Business Office, Utilization Review and Medical Records. Other responsibilities include oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, general ledger, monthly close, yearly close, financial reporting, budget preparation and FTE management, in collaboration with the respective department heads and/or staff performing these functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control accounts receivables. Closely oversees Business Office functions, Utilization Review and Medical Records functions to ensure accurate and timely billing, cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated.
  • Improve the profitability of the facility. Continually monitor costs in all areas, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume. Ensure purchasing and other related controls are in place and functioning as intended.
  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced facility operating costs, and increased revenues.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Ensure all required financial reports are accurate and submitted timely.
  • Provide reconciliations, account analysis, and other information for Reimbursement Department, Tax Department, Auditors, etc., to aid in preparation of reports.
  • Prepare annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards. In cooperation with management and department heads, reviews prior financial results and discusses anticipated changes to highlight future needs and trends of the facility.
  • Ensure that the facility obtains and maintains advantageous contracts with all routine vendors, including Employed and Non-employed Physicians, utilizing corporate contracts whenever possible.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Masters Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of Three years experience in a healthcare environment with progressive experiences in accounting/financial roles.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel.
  • Previous experience with McKesson/ERP, MS4, Kronos or Hyperion preferred but not required.
