Job Description

The Associate Manager, Technical Accounting and Policy is primarily responsible for the preparation of the global Sarbanes-Oxley controls and the PepsiCo Global Control Standard results reporting, including preparing deck for the disclosure committee. This role is also responsible for preparing KPMG fees for review and approval, reviewing audit committee deck for KPMG fees and the detailed review of the governance sections of the proxy. Specific details of the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure all SOX global workstreams are complete
  • Prepare consolidated global SOX results and review summary for the Disclosure Committee
  • Prepare SOX reporting package with KPMG
  • Draft new controls for any new accounting standards or initiatives
  • Maintain portal for collection of global control standards
  • Ensure adherence to PepsiCo global control standards
  • Monitor PCAOB activity and prepare summaries
  • Prepare detailed tie outs of the governance section of the proxy
  • Review and prepare related party reporting
  • Prepare reporting of KPMG fees and ensure appropriate approvals
The role is also expected to:
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Divisions and KPMG to ensure effective communication and processes
  • Demonstrate external perspective, including contacts with peer companies, Big 4 firms, FEI, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting and CPA
  • 5+ years relevant financial accounting/reporting experience
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and PCAOB standards
  • Masters in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Public accounting experience with Big 4 firm
