Ready to Drink (RTD) Iced Tea is an exciting category within Pepsis Beverage Business. RTD Iced Tea experienced 6% RSV growth in 2021. RTD Tea addresses a multitude of consumer needs and has potential to stretch into new needstates and occasions. While the category has historically outpaced LRB growth, the growth has slowed in recent years. However, with only a 50% HH penetration, there is tremendous upside and a focus on driving penetration growth of the category with our robust portfolio of brands which include Pure Leaf, Lipton Brisk, Tazo and Yachak . This presents many opportunities to lean into our core, loved brands Pure Leaf and Lipton to help unlock growth. Reporting to the Consumer Insights Senior Director, this unique Senior Manager role spans two iconic companiesPepsiCo and Unileverand is accountable for partnering closely with the U.S. Marketing Team, as well as key cross-functional and global teams across Pepsi and the Pepsi Lipton Partnership. This is a critical role within the Pepsi Lipton Partnership, driving the Insights/Consumer agenda for our two largest brands and shaping their future growth strategies. This role will require end to end management of these brands including driving deep target consumer understanding, driving strong thought leadership on comms and innovation, and driving annual situation assessments leading to brand jobs to be done that are embedded in comms, innovation and commercial plans. This role has strong linkage to the Pepsi Lipton Global Team and the ideal candidate will be able to build relationships and shape global Insights workstreams and initiatives while championing the US consumer perspective. The person we are seeking for this role will help shape key business questions, design our learning agenda, drive our annual brand strategic plans and be a relentless advocate for the consumer across the broader organization. This person will also be responsible for managing and developing one direct report, an Associate Insights Manager. Key Accountabilities: Act as a thought leader and business partner with a strong voice in shaping the brand growth agendas, by taking initiative in building the teams understanding of our consumers and the trends that will impact them. Drive long term, consumer based strategic recommendations for the business by designing comprehensive research agendas: Proactively design research plans against business objectives, timelines and budget for brand(s) assigned with input from the Senior Director Drive deep understanding of key consumers and cohorts and embed that understanding across the cross functional PLP team. Work in partnership with the commercial teams in identification and development of business priorities, providing insights and perspectives in the development of business strategy Present learning and insights as a basis for strategic decision making. Leverage Insights to develop strategies and annual operating plans across the marketing mix (brand, promotions, packs, distribution channels, consumer targets etc) Act as a thought leader in driving and shaping the Purpose and Communications plans for Pure Leaf and Lipton including driving for deep insights for sharper briefs, acting as a strong partner with the advertising agencies, etc. Help shape a consumer driven innovation strategy/pipeline for Pure leaf that is in line with the brands revenue and penetration growth ambitions. Lead the annual situation assessment process for Lipton and Pure Leaf and synthesize into Jobs to be Done to guide PSP and AOP for out years. Build strong linkages with global PLI Global Insights team and well as PBNA Insights team. Manage and develop one direct report, an Associate Insights Manager Qualifications/Requirements Minimum 10 years in a strategic insights, Creative agency, or marketing role; 5+ years in CPG company preferred Minimum Bachelors Degree; Advanced Degree preferred Mastery of both Qualitative and Quantitative research methodologies and must possess the ability to apply insights to address business challenges. 5+ years experience in advertising and/or innovation research preferred Desired Characteristics Must be comfortable operating in a highly matrixed organization, and be able to navigate and manage competing agendas and priorities Must be able and willing to flex between day to day hands on work and more high level strategic thinking. Must be able to work independently in sometimes ambiguous situations Must demonstrate a can-do attitude and be able to easily flex in the face of changing priorities Proven collaboration abilities, strategic thinking and leadership skills Must demonstrate strong creative thinking abilities Exceptional communicator (verbally and written) - Ability to tell a story, synthesize and convey key messages and present in a visual and compelling way Excellent Project Management and Organizational skills COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
