What Youll Do

  • Lead or participate in plan, Design, Implementation, migration, or optimization projects for Cisco Unified Customer Care(Contact Center) products.
  • Works with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. Cisco account teams, partners) on the strategy/deployment/optimization of Cisco services and solutions.
  • Creates and reviews project deliverables e.g. Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans.
  • Leverages software skills and tools to configure, deploy and/or troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions. Gives in the development of digital intellectual capital (e.g. scripts, digital signatures).
  • Flexibility in working hours as some migrations will require weekend and after hours work. Ready to work in a fast paced, dynamically changing environment to help Cisco build and deliver new solutions and take on cross architecture customer engineering projects.
  • The engineer will be operating in US Eastern Time zone

Who You Are

Contact Center

  • Experience in planning, designing, implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Collaboration Customer care solutions for enterprise and Service Provider environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cisco UCCE products CUCM, ICM, CVP, CUSP, CIM, Social Miner, CUIC, Finesse, CTIOS, CAD, IOS Gateways, RSM and Virtualization.
  • Experience with Customer Care technologies like Agent Desktop, ICM Scripting, IP-IVR Scripting, CVP Call Studio Scripting, Contact Centre Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of telephony dial plan design, implementation, and call control/routing protocols such as H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP, Q.SIG, CAS, ISDN PRI, FXO, FXS, and POTS.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, TFTP, NTP, and LDAP.
  • Experience with MCS series hardware as well as UCS B/C series platforms and VMware technologies such as vCenter, vSphere EXSi, and vSphere client.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN QoS using various queuing techniques such as PQ, LLQ, CBWFQ, and RSVP.
  • Professional level (e.g. CCNP) or equivalent relevant certification desired.
  • Working knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration and/or virtualization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Developing ability to function in ambiguous circumstances. Shares information and communicates clearly with worldwide team members to improve team effectiveness.
  • Ability to understand project scope and map it to customer business goals and objectives.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to other engineers. Translates team goals into work assignment.
  • Developing as trusted advisor & mentor. Emphasis is on facilitation of processes, solutions.
