Sodexo is seeking a Construction / Project Manager to support our prestigious flagship account at Morehouse School of Medicine in the Atlanta, GA area.  The school has 11 buildings which is comprised of clinics, housing, classrooms & offices and totals around 1 million sq. ft.  The successful candidate is not only a key manager for us, but will be a face in the community to help support our strong relationship with the school of medicine.

If you are a Strategic Facilities Manager with the ability to develop innovative technical solutions while successfully managing key performance indicators to drive strong business results, this may be the opportunity for you!

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a facilities database and CAD system of all maps, charts, facilities layouts, etc.;
  • oversee all construction projects at the facilities;
  • prepare presentations and reports for campus leadership about the upcoming projects;
  • Track all financials for projects which projects will range up to around 3 million.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of successful in Construction and Project Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;
  • construction experience working with labs and clinics is preferred; 
  • experience working with a CMMS;
  • managed multi-million dollar construction projects;
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;
  • experience working with outside vendors and subcontractors;
  • PMP certification a strong plus;
  • has strong financial acumen and budget management experience.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated capital projects. Reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

Key Duties- Construction Management including scheduling and financial management - Quality Control and Safety - Project Engineering including following specifications, design adaptation by ensure design and specifications meet codes and specification - Sub-contractor management - Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, minutes, maintaining documentation and customer liaison

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 5 years
