Responsibilities

The Configuration Manager Lead will oversee a team providing configuration management services to maintain technical and administrative control of the functional and physical characteristics of technology assets and provide continuous visibility into the types and numbers of assets throughout the client IT enterprise. Activities will include analyzing changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. Designs and establishes management documentation. Authorizes the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups. Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Will provide guidance to less experienced employees.Works with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (e.g. DOORS,JSMART,etc.)

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Lead Change Management activities including: 1. Receiving and recording Requests for Changes (RFCs) 2. Submitting RFCs to the Government for inclusion in the appropriate governance process for adjudication.3. Assessing the ramifications, costs, benefits, and risks of the planned changes.4. Updating the change/release plan.5. Coordinating and controlling change implementation.6. Monitoring and reporting on the success of implementation.7. Updating the CM database.8. Updating relevant development plans and architectures.9. Completing and reviewing the RFCs (post-implementation review).
  • Develop, maintain, deliver, and execute a comprehensive approach and methods for training as determined by customer.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's w/ 10-12 yrs. experience, Master's w/ 8-10
  3. Demonstrated experience with Agile development and associated documentation
  4. Experience leading small teams

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Configuration management professional certification.
  3. DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense
  4. Systems experience with another IC Agency (i.e. NGA, NSA, etc)
