What Youll Do

As the Component Operations Integrated Business Planning Manager, you will be responsible for driving the Sales and Operation Planning business cycle, consolidating inputs from Business Units to compile and publish the Operating Plan, facilitate the Executive S&OP meeting, and drive closure to meeting action items with the assigned business owners. You will work with Business teams to align on level one metric goals, the operating plan, and align on corrective action plans with trade-off decisions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Establish and own the Integrated Business Planning process for Ciscos Component Business Model across multiple partner teams
  • Establish a monthly, quarterly, and annual Component IBP cadence with defined deliverables, and interlocks
  • Establish and lead a process to interlock Component Operating Plans with core Cisco Revenue Planning, Demand Planning, Component Planning, and Global Supplier Management teams
  • Develop standardized IBP reporting and analytics that will be used by planners, managers, and executives to drive interlocks, and make trade off decisions
  • Work with business owners to set guardrails on key Operating Plan metrics and report progress to goal. When guardrails are exceeded work with business team on corrective action plans that optimize customer and financial outcomes
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to identify problems, drivers, and trade offs

In our journey towards an outstanding Integrated Business Planning practice, you will also have the opportunity engage in initiatives to develop standard methodologies and digitization/ automation of our IBP practice.

Who Youll Work With

You will join the Component Business Central Operating team working with your peers in the Business Operations team, PMO team, Sales Operations team, and Customer Experience team to enable and scale Ciscos Component Business. The IBP Planner role also requires significant cross-functional collaboration and you will be engaging closely with peers and leaders within the Component Supply Chain Operations, Product Marketing, Sales and Finance functions.

At a minimum we expect you to have 9 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Semiconductor industry, where you excelled at Integrated Business Planning, S&OP, Sales Operations, Customer Co-planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, leading manufacturing operations, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis.

You are also a person who

  • Is capable of leading conversations to influence and drive better decisions with multiple partners, often at the Director and VP levels.
  • Provides thought leadership. Sees connections between supply chain actions and strategic business outcomes. Anticipates future threats and opportunities for our customers and businesses, and makes decisions based on global business conditions and strategies. Strategies are inclusive of data and intuition and encompass whole systems thinking.
  • Has experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve results by identifying and aligning to shared goals, priorities and dedications. Able to hold peers, partners and self accountable to dedications.
  • Confidently presents own position despite resistance or unfavorable reactions from others. Handles problems or conflicts with others openly and directly. Has the conviction to take risks, make decisions and call out when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to assess, frame and drive data informed decisions. Lead and coach organization to build models to analyze what-if scenarios for dedicated planning purposes. Recognizes underlying themes and patterns and reduces complex data to a few key conclusions that can easily be understood by others.
  • Understands and applies general business concepts and principles including profit and loss statements, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment calculations to drive informed decisions. Able to build and use financial trend analyses and compares (quarter over quarter, year or year) to explain current performance in the context of the macro business situation, and use this insight to achieve future desired outcomes
  • Has a broad understanding of Ciscos Component customers, markets and products knowledge & experience. Understands Ciscos Component business models and macro business environment. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives. Can optimally represent that understanding in meaningful ways to others.
