The Meadows is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. Located just minutes outside State College, PA on a beautiful 52-acre campus, with 119 beds, The Meadows is dedicated to providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. We are licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). The Meadows is committed to providing individuals and their families the hope of recovery through an environment conducive to wellness, strength-based programming, and highly competent staff.

The Meadows is seeking an experienced, self-driven, customer-oriented Community Relations Specialist/Social Media Manager to join our Business Development Team to support the visibility of The Meadows programs, services, and community initiatives. This role is responsible to maintain and develop new relationships with key community organizations and targeted referral sources; increase public and professional awareness of The Meadows services and programs; be responsible for the overall knowledge of major competitors in the market and service catchment area; provide regular market feedback to hospital leaders regarding current and future programming; manage daily the hospitals Facebook and Linked In presence; regularly coordinate with corporate social media contact and incorporate opportunities for hiring into social media presence. The primary territory is South/Southeast Pennsylvania- York, Adams, Dauphin and nearby counties. Ideally, candidate will reside within the designated territory region.

Job Requirements

The position of Community Relations Specialist/Social Media Manager requires:
Bachelors Degree, required; Masters degree preferred in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field.
A minimum of two years relevant experience is required; preferably in a healthcare setting.
A minimum of one year of work experience with relevant technology applications including Facebook, LinkedIn, Databases, and MS Office Suite
Strong organizational and time management skills; excellent follow through skills.
Professional tact and demeanor; Business Acumen.
Ability to work independently (remote work base) as well as within a team setting
Strategic and analytical thinking skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Requires flexibility of schedule, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel in the calling area and related
Proficient with spreadsheets, data processing, Microsoft office word & excel, and accounting systems/programs.
Residency within designated territory/region.
