What you will do:

This role will lead the communications strategy for Ciscos Customer and Partner Experience Engineering organization (CPXE). The CPXE communications team drives a combination of employee communications & events, cross-functional internal marketing, and strategic executive communications. We are looking for a hard-driving communications leader with a mix of technical acumen and cross-functional execution who thrives working across a dynamic team and learning about many facets of Ciscos CPXE organization.

The CPXE organization is driving a cloud software experience to improve the ways customers and partners engage with Ciscos products, platforms, and services.

  • Support the CPXE Chief of Staff and be flexible around his/her schedule.
  • Partner closely with the SVPs Executive Communications Lead to align the overall CPXE communications collateral to the SVPs communications.
  • Partner with the CPXE leaders to determine their communications needs and prioritize as necessary.
  • Build the communications programs and platforms needed for CPXE and the leadership team.
  • Deliver mind-blowing collateral that helps tell the story of how CPXE solves customer and partner problems.
  • Create and manage events that engage team members around the business priorities & value, and drive connections with each other, both virtual and live.
  • Build upon the existing communication collateral and drive the leadership team to improve and expand on the content provided through our executive communications platform.
  • Distill complex technical concepts, architectures, and strategies into communications collateral that any business professional can understand.
  • Adopt data-driven best practices and modern tools to streamline and scale collateral.
  • Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Support and build a culture that is open, transparent and that celebrates the moments that matter (something here about comms role in culture)
  • Manage the CPXE communications team and work with the CPXE Chief of Staff to deliver on communications priorities.

Who you will work with:

You will collaborate with leaders and peers as part of a centralized Chief of Staff team that provides Communications, Strategy, Planning, Org Structure, & Business Operations resources and support to CPXE. You will work with executives, leaders and stakeholders in CXPE, across CX, Product Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Communications, IT and other Cisco areas.

Who you are

Min Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience managing teams driving communications strategy and execution for a large organization
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and management team
  • Ability to quickly and independently translate technical concepts into gorgeous collateral
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute against tight timelines
  • Understanding of different engineering development lifecycles and methodologies
  • Strong operations and organizational skills
  • Experience delivering employee communications that motivates and inspires engineers
  • Familiarity with a variety of medium and tools, including presentations, video, graphics, social media, and white papers

  • Leadership and execution experience in complex, matrix organizations
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong influencing, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience in an Agile Development environment
