Job Title: Communication Director - Global Brand Protection / Communication Director Digital Reputation and Issues Management
Employer: PepsiCo, Inc.
Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, TX 75024

Duties: Assign, supervise, and review the activities of three global brand protection staff. Manage global brand protection budget. Respond to requests for information about PepsiCo social & digital communications and global brand protection. Direct activities of external agencies, establishments, and departments that develop and implement deliverables for global brand protection programs. Develop, implement, and maintain crisis communication plans for global brand protection, including global social media warnings. Formulate policies and procedures related to global brand protection programs, working with executives. Produce training and awareness videos and other digital products as part of global brand protection programs and communications strategy, and regulate their distribution. Partner with IT to deliver the key objectives of the global brand protection program. Support and maintain relationships with IT, global teams, sector and local marketing, legal, communications, consumer relations, and HR groups. Support and implement a communication plan to train and build awareness of global brand protection and the value it brings to the business. Develop and implement a global brand protection dashboard in partnership with IT. Maintain a rogue digital asset monitoring program, in partnership with IT, to identify social media, domain and mobile app assets that could cause reputational damage to PepsiCo. Create and maintain a best practices database. Hire, coach and develop direct reports. Support and maintain global brand protection tools (e.g., social media policy, content management playbook, contact inventory, training modules) and manage external consultants, as necessary.


Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field and eight (8) years of digital media or communications experience OR No degree and ten (10) years of digital media or communications experience. Must have five (5) years of experience with: project management; communications/public relations, including drafting and executing a global communications plan to build external (marketers, legal, IT, Communications), engagement, or internal (Global Brand Protection) skills and awareness; and written communications, including press releases, website content, speech writing. Must have three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: social media content management publishing tools and with enterprise social media usage; core social media management processes, including channels, media buying, or SEO; consumer products business functions and processes; and IT Governance. Must have one (1) year of research experience, including deductive and inductive reasoning, news media research, search engine research, interview research. Travel required 15% of the time.
