Sr. Business Analyst - Fraud


Job Description


This individual contributor role will be responsible for:


+ Investigating fraud cases to identify potential recovery opportunities

+ Analyzing and investigating fraud behaviors within the Commercial Card portfolio

+ Producing documentation that would support a decision to hold a cardholder liable for fraud

+ Seeking recoveries via merchants in cases that wouldnt otherwise lead to a recovery as well as seeking recoveries made available to us through the Associations (i.e. Visa/MasterCard)

+ Interfacing between other functional areas including, Fraud Early Warning Operations, Security Operations, Citi Investigative Services, Citi Cyber Intelligence Center, Client Account Managers, and others


In addition to responsibilities outlined above, this individual will be required to:


+ Function as a lead contributor with significant knowledge of fraud exposure as it relates to broad department activities

+ Evaluate risk and return measures/reports

+ Interpret results and make recommendations to key business stakeholders

+ Identify reputational risk and its operational /financial cause/effects

+ Assist with system improvements to strengthen overall fraud detection capacity

+ Manages situations that create risk and legal liabilities for Citi

+ Recommend new strategies and models based on client abuse patterns observed

+ Make decisions in a timely manner, balancing a need for action with a need for analysis

+ Understand businesses processes, risks and can identify control issues

+ Probe beyond symptoms to determine the underlying causes of problems

+ Utilize tools and techniques to effectively identify and assess trends and maximize recoveries

Knowledgeable about Commercial Cards processes

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree - preferred


Bankcard fraud management or fraud investigations experience


Ability to work independently and influence others


Extensive TSYS knowledge required


Extensive Commercial Cards experience required


Ability to analyze patterns


Good presentation skills


Education Level: High School Diploma/GED


Primary Location: NAM-USA-FL-Jacksonville
