Cisco is searching for a Public Sector Cloud Sales Strategist to work as part of the US Public Sector (USPS) sales strategy team. You will be responsible for developing and driving the market development strategy for Ciscos cross-architecture cloud portfolio. You will have responsibilities including FedRAMP offer Go-To-Market (GTM), portfolio sales messaging development, portfolio positioning, demand generation, and customer engagement. A firm understanding of the challenges government and education customers face in their digital transformation and how Cisco can help optimize their cloud strategy will be key.


Job Responsibilities Details:

  • You will be responsible for driving cloud portfolio pipeline across USPS
  • Developing Cloud Sales GTM strategy across Ciscos portfolio
  • Driving FedRAMP and other unique cloud offerings GTM
  • Business forecasting and analysis on current/future trends magic quadrant type analytics, etc.
  • Drive and create outcome-based selling motion for the field, with strong cross-organization collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams across Sales, Services, and Engineering



Who Youll Work With

In this role, you will have the ability to manage technology and business model transitions in USPS, including cloud, intuitive networking, mobility, IoT, AI, automation and as-a-service consumption models.  To achieve this, you will need to harness the power of teams. Youll work closely with USPS Engineering, Architecture Sales Specialist, and Sales teams, as well Product Engineering Business Entities.

This role will report to the USPS Market Strategy Leader within the USPS Sales Strategy & Operations organization.



Who You Are

  • Engineering, Business Administration or Economics Degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience working with federal, state and local government, and education customers and partners
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing for federal and state & local government
  • Experience developing and selling complex solutions to government organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationships
  • Experience in working and successfully integrating into a virtual sales organization that includes Sales (all levels) and the technical community
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional organizations
  • Extensive background and understanding of product, service, and financial selling tools
  • Experience building actionable long and short-term sales plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends
  • Understanding of a broad range of customer technologies required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way



You will have the following Technical Skills:

  •  Technical proficiency to work across the wide range of technologies, products and markets
  •  Understanding of Cisco cloud capabilities along with broader understanding of Ciscos hardware, software and service offerings
  • Strong track record that includes demonstrable career progression and a focus on the high-tech industry
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Experience with how networks and clouds interact, future role of cloud in government
  • Demonstrable experience selling complex technical solutions to executive management
