Auto req ID: 273435BR Job Description Main Purpose of the Role: Develop Automation to facilitate provisioning, reporting, metrics, or remediation of services in the cloud, with audit trails of work completed, and automated undo functionality. Develop scripting in various toolsets to pull data out of the cloud platform for metric reporting, or to develop scripting to build / revise services in the cloud as per customer request. Automation to support various types of engagement: cost estimation for the proposed implementation, auditing of high availability and failover for the solution, validation of disaster recovery requirements/pattern choice and buildout, testing of the implementation of high availability/disaster recovery, and data extracts regarding quantities of services, licensing models, optimization opportunities, etc. Accountability to develop automation to ensure accurate reporting of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Accountabilities: Review and assess implementation approach, potential risks, costs, etc. Partner with Cloud Engineering, Cloud Ops, Information Security, etc. in executing projects/automation implementation to ensure minimal risk and business disruption Provide deep cloud implementation expertise covering infrastructure, application architectures, cloud capabilities, security, cost management, automation, etc. Work with all various teams on current manual process definition, automation requirements, automation development, testing, implementation, and support. Knowledge in Public Cloud Automation tooling, automation experience using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible. Develop code/scripts in Python, Java, Bash, or Powershell Develop, test & deploy automation, using CI/CD processes, tooling & best practices (Azure & AWS) Employ a strong automation mindset to recognize opportunities to reduce manual effort Ensure all automation complies with required security/controls requirements Help define requirements and develop automation to measure relevant cloud project KPIs to ensure overall program health across budget, infrastructure currency, performance, stability, efficiency, etc. Partner with Service Providers to ensure SLAs/KPIs and other metrics are reported accurately Qualifications/Requirements Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field 10+ years of related IT business work experience 5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure principles/methodologies 5 years of relevant experience with infrastructure delivery and/or operations 2+ years of cloud experience incl project implementation and optimization of cloud cost (IaaS/PaaS) Mandatory 'Technical' Skills: Strong coding/scripting skills (Powershell, Python, Java, Bash) Develop utilities and scripts in support of cloud metrics reporting Experience working in a multi-cloud environment with demonstrated experience with cloud deployment projects (including cloud-native development and migration) Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tools for tracking, developing, deploying software Experience with configuration, migration and deployment efforts related to Azure or AWS IaaS/PaaS Technologies 3+ years of cloud Automation experience including assessing automation methods and optimization of cloud cost (IaaS and PaaS) Understand Public Cloud Automation process, automation experience using configuration management tools, such as Puppet/Chef/Ansible Hands on experience with Public Cloud CI/CD process (Azure & AWS) Able to identify and execute upon opportunities for reducing manual updates/changes with automation Solid understanding of Containerization technologies such as Docker Strong experience in hybrid multi-cloud environment both IaaS and PaaS offerings and automation in large scale cloud hosted environments Mandatory 'Non-Technical' Skills: Excellent work ethic, strong sense of ownership Experience leading/participating in Agile and hybrid development and deployment projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, effective communication across teams Experience managing hybrid multi-cloud environment Strong analytical skills to support troubleshooting, resolution, root cause determination for complex technology issues Strong documentation skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical personnel Ability to work with virtual teams (remote work locations) based in multiple US locations and offshore COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
