Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies and expert advice to the program, and related cloud computing architectures. Optimize memory management identifying the best ways to develop distributed cluster-enabled and graph processing algorithms. Assist customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas, performing RDF translations, anddefining domain specific ontologies, where applicable. Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications for clients. Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics for clients in research and production areas. Work with massive data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties to solve clients' hardest problems. Support a range of clients from front line analysts to researchers and senior leadership. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled software development team. Experience with information extraction and analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms. Knowledge of a variety of advanced computer science and mathematical concepts, practices, and procedures associated with the analysis of large datasets, from indexing schemes to statistical tests-Knowledge of Cloud computing, Hadoop or MapReduce, Netezza, Vertica, BigTable, Pig, Terradata, or Amazon Web Services. Experience with data mining or machine learning preferred. Apply expert knowledge in computer science, particularly in the Semantic Web and cloud computing environments.

Duties include:

Build automation tooling and pipelines that enable secured systems to be deployed across a true hybrid cloud infrastructure

Develop automation to standardize and secure cloud services such as server operating system builds

Solve challenging problems in a hybrid cloud model with a holistic cross-environment management platform to provide both out of the box and highly customized solutions.

Support technologies and products, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cloudformations, Terraform, Git, Powershell, BASH, Javascript, Jenkins and others


Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

Required:

7+ years IT experience

AWS and/or Azure certification - professional level preferred.

Expertise with self-service provisioning services such as AWS Service Catalog.

Expertise with automation scripting using Powershell, BASH, javascript, etc

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation, Terraform)

Experience in a multi-account AWS and multi Azure subscription environment - Multi-cloud preferred

Experience with GovCloud preferred

Experience with private cloud virtualization (Vmware)

Experience with working with code repositories and CI tools such as GitLab or GitHub.

Preferred:

Expertise with Jenkins Automation, CI/CD and other DevOps tools and practices would be preferred.

Morpheus CMP experience or experience with similar products would be a plus.

Professional level cloud vendor certifications
