Global Product Development (GPD) supports clinical development across Pfizer and late stage development of medicines and regulatory affairs across all therapeutic areas. Every year, we partner with more than 40 thousand participants and 6 thousand health systems and their healthcare professionals around the world in our work to bring new medicines to market for the patients that we serve. The Clinical Trial Experience team drives new strategies to enhance recruitment, retention and drive reputation - with the ultimate ambition of becoming the partner of choice for our participants and sites.

The Clinical Trial Content Lead is responsible for developing engaging and relevant content to support our clinical trial audiences. This individual will be responsible for content that is developed across:

+ Channels - such as PfizerClinicalTrials.com, brochures, event materials and social media campaigns

+ Audiences - including Healthcare Providers, Investigator Sites, Advocacy Organizations, Participants and the general public

+ Clinical Studies - that cover our Therapeutic Areas: Vaccines, Oncology, Rare Disease, Internal Medicine & Hospital and Immunology and Inflammation

In this work, the Clinical Trial Content Lead will create educational, awareness, and relationship building content to support the strategies developed by the Clinical Trial Experience Team, the Clinical Trial Diversity Center of Excellence and Multicultural Health Equity Collective.

This individual should have excellent copy writing and communication skills, be expert in clear health communications and content best practices and have a passion for health education and awareness.


+ Responsible for creation and delivery of effective Clinical Trial content across channels, audiences and therapeutic areas

+ Efficiently and autonomously manage clinical trial content projects from beginning to completion, staying on time and on budget

+ Lead the development of clinical trial content library and templates, including resources specifically developed for multicultural audiences

+ Measure and analyze effectiveness of approaches; lead the implementation of strategic or tactical changes to improve outcomes

+ Leverage insights from patient journey maps, community partner feedback and clinical trial sites to ensure that content developed is relevant and culturally appropriate

+ Partner with translation and health literacy partners to develop impactful content

+ Partner with Clinical Trial Diversity Center of Excellence and Multicultural Participant Experience Lead to establish themes, content and agreed messaging outcomes

+ Partner with analytics and measurement teams to measure participant satisfaction and perceptions

+ Partner with Recruitment team on development of study specific templates and educational materials leveraging best practices

+ Partner with operations teams to support change management for new programs

+ Manage agency relationships - foster productive relationships and manage integration among vendors

+ Plan, assign and review work of content development partners to ensure that group objectives are met


+ Bachelor's degree required

+ 10+ years' experience in marketing, communications and/or experience design

+ Passion for health equity and patient advocacy and has high cultural competency

+ Demonstrated success in developing multicultural content for healthcare across channels and audiences

+ Demonstrated success in developing digital, social media and outreach campaigns

+ Strong creative writing and concepting skills

+ At least 4-6 years of leading communications projects

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills both inside and outside the organization

+ A broad-based understanding of clinical research, including clinical trial conduct, knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and associated processes

+ Leadership, project/resource management (project, staff, finances), administrative, and technical capabilities are required

+ History of success in a customer service role with demonstration of meeting customer expectations.

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization

+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to persuade, negotiate, and moderate conflict

+ Strong learning agility with the goal of mastering clinical research processes and regulatory requirements

+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional processes required

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
